Anyone able to sell above $2?

Chirp chirp - nothing but the birds here. All the bulls are gone. .10 is coming sooner rather later.

So you put in your sell order and sold the stock at a higher price?

I'm sorry, but what part of your trade got executed did you not understand?

How did I get executed? Put my sell order in @ $8.16 & it was filled @ $9.62.

How did I get executed? Put my sell order in @ $8.16 & it was filled @ $9.62. This kind of move happens very rarely. Maybe you haven't been In the sub-penny stocks long enough to understand how this can happen. Before 2009 it was easy to make money on hyped penny stocks. Now it is quite a bit harder. For me 50 to 100% gain in a week is fine for me. For those of you who decide to speculate on sub-penny stocks and think you can make money on a long term investment is completely silly. So go ahead and try to analyze and chart a completely worthless company and laugh at me as I continue to make money on a weekly basis. Go ahead and LOL @ me as I continue to chuckle.

Do you understand how silly this is?

If you put in a sell order at a certain price and the price keeps on going up, you are going to get executed

I made a bunch on this stock but, would have gotten out sooner if I could have. The stock was manipulated and it kept going up as I was trying to get out.

If you made money on $BRKO - congrats. The promoters behind this made way more money than you will ever see. Your appetite to gamble is what they count on.

BRKO made a lot of money for those who were not GREEDY! I also agree with the statement "Ill informed". I made a bunch on this stock but, would have gotten out sooner if I could have. The stock was manipulated and it kept going up as I was trying to get out. To me "hype" is why I buy sub-penny stocks. I don't like speculating in stocks that are worthless and hoping for months on end that good news will come, usually it doesn't. I learned a long time ago that making 50 to 100% profit on a stock quickly and moving on to the next is a good way of making money. Been swallowed by a few sharks while trading sub-penny stocks and realized I can be content with the crumbs they drop on the floor. NEVER NEVER FALL IN LOVE WITH A PENNY STOCK!

Of all the people involved in APS, I've always thought Eric was the most cautious. As early as around 2012 or 2013 he was said to be cooperating with the authorities, though that's never been confirmed. And in late 2013 or 2014, he was interviewed by a reporter in Montreal. He didn't have much to say, but I had the impression that he wasn't hiding.

With criminal charges hanging over his head in New York, getting involved in promotion again would be a big risk. But you never know.

It seems kind of strange that Nguyen was never stopped by authorities in Quebec. He is most likely behind the sites that pushed $BRKO. This stock is about to bend and break. Another total disaster for investors who follow this fraudster.

Many thanks. That's interesting. And I didn't know our Babs was nicknamed the "Wolf of Montreal". I wish they'd have given the name of Nguyen's Samoan company.

BRKO was pumped by Finest Penny Stocks. Starting a year ago or more, at its website Finest adopted the format of the old Awesome Penny Stock sites. I thought at the time they were just an imitator, but I suppose you never know.

Just found another reference to Nguyen in Samoa. In French - but it is there http://www.journaldemontreal.com/2016/04/05/un-ex-associe-du-loup-de-montreal-et-une-avocate-de-joliette-nommes. The sites that promoted $BRKO are in Samoa. Could be him - I guess ?

BRKO was manipulated by insiders. Probably one or more of the people who bought the S-1 offering, and who hired the promoters.

It seems Eric Nguyen has a company in Samoa http://www.pressreader.com/canada/toronto-star/20160404/281651074252274/textview - It seems Mr.Nguyen is still in business.

I thought I read somewhere that this promotion was run out of Samoa. Is that right?

Finest Penny Stocks gives an address in Samoa (not American Samoa, but the independent country) on their email blasts. They may even be incorporated there, but who knows?

BRKO says it needs cash, or it may have to terminate operations.

I very much doubt BRKO will ever be heard from again.

With the fraud at BRKO, most will be lucky to get out of their positions at all.
It is great that someone is willing to buy at these high prices, given the financial condition of the company and the fact that they will not really have any access to the capital markets anymore.

BRKO says it needs cash, or it may have to terminate operations.

Toxic financiers likely will not touch a grey market stock under investigation by the SEC for securities fraud.
The financiers also know that once the flurry of selling is over, liquidity will steadily drop off and investors may have a tough time selling at any price. With no MM's making a market in BRKO anymore, it will also be tough to find matching trades to be able to sell.

OTCmarkets has already officially reported a 180,000+ short position even prior to the halt.
SEC has already officially reported a 80,000 failed to deliver short position prior to the halt as well.

I don’t care β€˜who’ is doing the stock manipulation, shorters, promoters, its all the same to me.

All I know is I can make money right now by buying BRKO and squeezing the shorts. Why shouldn’t I?
πŸ‘οΈ0
Addiecaps Addiecaps 8 years ago
I entered at $2- $3 on Day 1 when the halt was lifted, just as I said I would, and now I’ve already made 50% easily.

I’m going to continue buying so long as I can get for $4 or below, because I’m pretty sure the shorts will have to buy back at $8 to $10 in the not too distant future.

And please don’t hate on me just because I’m trading this to make easy money off the shorts. There’s nothing wrong with that.

janice shell janice shell 8 years ago
If you short a stock, you take your position through your broker, just as you would if you were going long. But although both short and long plays can result in margin calls, at least if you're using margin to buy your long position, shorting is much riskier.

First, your broker has to find stock to borrow. He borrows it for you, and you sell it on the market. Since there's always a chance the stock may go up rather than down, you need to have an ample cushion in your account; enough to cover a steep rise. (You'll also need to pay a daily fee, but that's another issue.)

But when a stock runs the way BRKO did, your broker and its clearing arm, or, if you're using an introducing broker, his clearing firm, will get antsy. They're liable for your risk, and they don't like to find themselves in that position. And so, basically, they'll call in their loan, forcing you to cover the position immediately by buying on the market. Years ago, it was possible for shorts who found themselves in that position to negotiate for a little more time, and pray that the stock would crash in the meanwhile. But they're a lot less friendly about that these days.
πŸ‘οΈ0
236T568 236T568 8 years ago
that would occur when the shares borrowed in order to short the stock are called by the lender of the shares and unless the brokerage firm can find other shares to borrow and replace the loaned shares, it is forced to buy into the market in order to return the borrowed shares to the lender. The brokerage firm sometimes gives the short seller about 1/2 day to buy the shares in the market themselves before the brokerage firm does the forced buyin. The forced buyin sometimes is priced at the vwap for the day, but unfortunately for the short seller it is sometimes done at whatever price the brokerage firm buys the shares in the market, which sometimes means hitting the increasing ask in low float stocks.

Please describe what would precipitate what you refer to as a forced buy-in.

I may be the only one but I don't know exactly what that means.
πŸ‘οΈ0
janice shell janice shell 8 years ago
It's possible the decision was taken out of their hands. Chances are they were bought in pretty quickly.

It seemed obvious to most observers that the regulators would act on BRKO, and sooner rather than later. But from a practical standpoint, it's still a big risk for any short's clearing firm to take, and they tend to be pretty risk-averse.
