Killdeer Minerals Inc. (TSX VENTURE:KMI) ("Killdeer" or the "Company"), has
acquired, by staking, two claims which cover an area of 8,577 hectares which
adjoin and expand the Company's Gold Belt property in the La Ronge area of
Saskatchewan (follow this link to map: http://media3.marketwire.com/r/KMImap).
Several gold-bearing shear-hosted quartz veins occur on the original Gold Belt
claim and sampling by Killdeer confirmed high-grade gold values from these
occurrences (see Killdeer news release, November 12, 2009). The newly staked
claims cover other, similar, shear-hosted quartz vein occurrences. One of these,
the Vidgy showing, was tested by limited trenching and drilling by a previous
operator in 1988-89. Trenching exposed a 1 to 2.5 meter wide shear zone.

Grab samples from the trenched exposure returned values including: 72.0 grams
per tonne gold (2.10 ounces per ton), 38.7 grams per tonne gold (1.13 ounces per
ton), 29.2 grams per tonne gold (0.85 ounces per ton), and greater than 100
grams per tonne gold (greater than 2.9 ounces per ton). Representative chip
samples from trenching graded: 9.2 grams per tonne gold (0.27 ounces per ton
gold) over 2.0 meters, 4.8 grams per tonne gold (0.14 ounces per ton gold) over
2.7 meters, 6.2 grams per tonne gold (0.18 ounces per ton gold) over 2.5 meters.

Visible gold was reported in almost all sections sampled and some elevated gold
values were also returned from drilling.

In addition to the gold potential, the Gold Belt property is prospective for
magmatic copper-nickel-PGE (platinum-group) mineralization. MacDonald Mines
Exploration Ltd. is actively exploring for this style of mineralization on the
Nielsen-Chisholm property, 4 kilometres to the southwest of the Gold Belt
property (see MacDonald Mines news release, September 9, 2009). Killdeer's newly
staked claims cover the Triangle Lake magmatic Cu-Ni occurrence, within the
layered Bassett Lake ultramafic complex. Exploration at the Triangle Lake
showing in the 1950s and 1960s exposed zones of massive to semi-massive
magnetite and pyrite-pyrrhotite-chalcopyrite-pentlandite. Grab samples from
trenches returned results of 0.82% copper, 0.21% nickel and 0.35% cobalt and
limited "definition drilling" outlined a 900 meter long by 60 meter wide by 150
meter deep historic resource of 27 million tonnes grading 20% iron. This
historical resource estimate was prepared prior to the implementation of
National Instrument 43-101 - Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects.
Killdeer has not conducted any work to verify the historical resource estimate
at the Triangle Lake showing, nor is the Company aware of any more recent
resource estimate or data for the Triangle Lake showing which does conform to
the standards of NI 43-101. Killdeer does not consider the historical estimate
to be a current mineral resource and cautions readers that it should not be
relied upon.

Killdeer has not completed any work or independent sampling on the newly staked
Gold Belt claims. All of the analytical results described in this release are
historic results from work by previous operators which have not been verified by
Killdeer and which the Company considers valid only as an indication of
potential targets that should be assessed. Killdeer is presently compiling the
results of the previous work on the Gold Belt property in order to plan further
exploration on the claims.
