Oil going up is good but we need to get EOX and Chevron to go up alot. That is 40% of this thing. If XOM hits 80.00 this will be about 45.00

I do think in July this will be around 45.00 We will have some mid east issue worse then now. Also with all the travel that will pick up, it should make good coin for all the companies in this ETF

Saw news today that 3 refining companies

are leasing storage tanker

ships to start storing refined

gasoline on...

At least they are pro-active

to trying to keep the gas in

balance that is needed...

Big integrated oil companies

that operate service stations

and refiners make up some of

the ERX holdings...

It doesn't matter how high

the prices are if people

can't get products...

So we watch...LJ

πŸ‘οΈ0

So far you are right.
πŸ‘οΈ0

No, East coast gas demand just started

rebounding...

Pipeline restriction could slow

that rebound if they have

trouble supplying it...

https://finviz.com/futures.ashx

A little doubt from oil traders

on East coast on whether they

can find gas in a few days starting

to creep into pricing platform...

And the pigs hackers that are

so greedy may have already sold

into price pop if that was part

of their money making scheme...

Crooks didn't do it for glory...

So we watch...LJ

Cyber-attack now changes things to the upside I would think?
πŸ‘οΈ0
littlejohn littlejohn 3 years ago
Gasoline price should drop sharply Monday

if an abundance for everywhere

but East coast is expected for

very long...

Oil price should also drop

if refiners are in limbo on

producing for East Coast...

Let's see how the big money

traders spin to win...

So we watch...LJ

Yeah it can go either way for sure, depending if things open up around the world or not? I only have a small position, and yet I teeter on going bull or bear ultra x.

Flash crash of over heated oil prices

to lower levels seems possible...

DD on raw data of demand stall

in some areas doesn't help

justify over pricing yet...

https://www.barchart.com/story/news/1660611/energy-prices-post-moderate-gains-after-the-dollar-index-tumbles-to-a-2-month-low

Forecasters of higher oil prices

later can play both ways in case

a price stall occurs...

What ever entities actually hold

the opposite side of hedges bot

by oil companies up until close

of 2020 are making more per barrel

than many oil companies in 2020...

And it is possible that is main

driver behind big oil price pump

up that came so fast...

So we watch...LJ

But it will continue to rise as long as oil goes up as it has over the last year. And as the world starts up again oil will rise.
When oil starts to descend then you sell. Yes long term holders will lose eventually, but it is still a valuable weapon to use. IMO
But continued good luck to you and to myself when we flip and.

ERX is way to invest in ultra cheap,

big oil company sector on

a diversified basis...

Plus you get more leverage

on moves...

Thinking the big oil companies

won't go back up is like

betting against society surviving...

And monthly dollar averaging in

doesn't require being perfect

on picking an entry...

So we watch...LJ

Thanks. That's what it seems like to me. Had a friend to tell me about this and my initial concerns are confirmed by yours and the previous poster.

I usually don't get involved with anything leveraged because I'm more of a buy and hold type investor.
πŸ‘οΈ0
zsvq1p zsvq1p 4 years ago
If you hold ERX you will lose all your money. This tracks daily.

The reason it is down is because of mainly Exxon. They were dumped on the Index. But also demand and supply for oil.

This is only a flipper. Buy on dips and sell at highs. If you can catch it on a very low point and hang tough you might get a bagger..

You can see the holdings here..

Yes, I understood that. I was basically just asking what are the pros, cons, and forecast, due to me just starting to look at it. Figure I'd ask people who've been around for a while.
From what I see, besides being 2x leveraged, and the market tanking, I don't see any particular "negative" reason for it being at $9 and think it has potential to get back to last year's SP if oil returns to $100/bbl

First of all it is not a stock. It is a fund.

Second it is a leveraged fund. That means that if the individual companies go down 50% this goes to almost zero.

I think you need to do some reading before even thinking of investing in this.

First of all it is not a stock. It is a fund.

Second it is a leveraged fund. That means that if the individual companies go down 50% this goes to almost zero.

Choose your poison carefully.

Hello all. This is an interesting stock. What’s the reason for the huge drop from last year.... mismanagement or the price of oil or something else?

and China doubling of
