Thailand and Mexico, meanwhile, shot into the top three export markets for Chinese antimony this year, according to Chinese customs data through May. Neither made the top 10 in 2023, the last full year before Beijing restricted exports.

Thailand and Mexico each have a single antimony smelter, according to consultancy RFC Ambrian, and the latter’s only reopened in April. Neither country mines meaningful quantities of the metal.

Reuters reported in June that U.S. battery makers are nervous about their dwindling stockpiles of antimony, regarding it as a “national emergency.”


The flow through third-party countries for that particular metal is evidently not quite generous enough to keep up with soaring demand. China’s ban on antimony in December happened too suddenly for American battery companies to build up an emergency inventory.



I checked and used ball mills are reasonable. It appears one could buy 10 of them for under 50K.

Might be an opportunity to get hold of this before someone else wakes up. Would provide cash for more exploration for gold on the property.

First off, the mine as I understand it, would be located next to a shipping channel. BTG could buy the ball mills in the US and ship them to Newfoundland. They get permitted in a friendly smelter US state. Permits for critical minerals should become available fast. Under the new BBB they would be able to immediately expense a modern smelting plant, equipment and transportation from port to plant for the material. This would allow them to be a low cost supplier of critical minerals for years. They pay for the land, future gold exploration and profit all at once. It would provide jobs in Newfoundland, shipping and at the US smelter.

First ore was introduced to the Goose Mine processing facilities on June 24, 2025, and the mill has run consistently at approximately 50% of nameplate capacity during this initial phase, as planned. The focus during the third quarter of 2025 will be to continue steady state operations and increase throughput to full design capacity in the near-term. This will include synchronizing the remaining generators and ensuring that all process circuits continue to perform as designed.

B2Gold acknowledges our partner the Kitikmeot Inuit Association (“KIA”), who has played a critical role for many years to ensure the development of a successful gold mining operation at the Goose Mine. Not sure, unless, they do like they do with most companies they deal with and say they have the right to maintain their current position on any additional shares issued.

Looks like in 2016 BTG owned 9.3% St Augustine. With 9 years worth of dilution I wonder what percentage they now own?

I am with you BTG is not a 40B company.. Some of these "reputable sites", as a matter of fact most of them, have their own agendas. They may be paid, own shares,want to buy shares at a lower price, want to sell shares or simply not know what they are talking about. I learned a long time ago to distrust most of them, and trust but verify with DD a few. I do like BTG, and bought in even though I normally do not buy into companies with more than 1B OS.

I get all this but it's not a $40 billion company.  
As for buybacks, they've had opportunities for years getting this under $2.and did nothing. 
 BTG is a good company but the o/s count is an issue.  
I did well with BTG over the years so no complaining here.  

Well, share buybacks, plus new mine production, plus record gold prices, plus irrational exuberance of investors and why not?

How is $30+ possible?  Look at the share count.  This would value BTG at like $40 billion.  

Some thoughts going forward,

Gold starts or has started to be poured or will be starting June 1st. They are talking about pouring 125 to 150K ounces the last six months and 300k ounces next year from Goose.

That is 20.833 to 25,000 more ounces a month over what is currently being produced. Current price of gold 2.280 an ounce

BTG is bad at informing what is going on with Mali, but, sooner or later we will hear if we have the permit. They can communicate well with everyone other than shareholders.

Profits are likely to increase as the price of gold is likely to go up since the national debt keeps going up while it appears inflation is starting to cool somewhat.

Sellers here may well regret selling at this cheap price. Most investors don’t do enough research and are not aware of BTG involvement in Snowline Gold, AuMega, BeMetals and Calibre.

AuMega just got new first drill samples and two at 5g/t and 18g/t along with silver and other metals. That is high grade at 5g/t and over and they are awaiting further drill results. They also likely have the largest Antimony deposit.

Snowline Gold has gold laying everywhere, and they are digging 30k more meters, and BTG has already indicated they were willing to build a mine for them when they are ready.

BeMetals might be onto a very large copper deposit.

They are cranking out ounces of gold from Calibre which is being taken over by Equinox EQX. I note Calibre lately drilled right next to the property line of AuMega checking for gold.

I have waited this long, and the light at the end of the tunnel is shinning brighter and brighter. Just all IMHO.

"Here is something bizarre. Simply Wall St., an apparently credible website that provides stock analysis, that I have used in the past. I looked at their analysis of B2Gold. For some reason, I cannot find the US listing, but they do provide a detailed very thorough analysis of the Canadian ticker symbol TSX:BTO.
"What is the fair price of BTO when looking at its future cash flows?" Cdn $42.60
They list it as 90.3% undervalued, with a fair price of $42.60 Canadian dollars. [US $30.47"

BTG HR should not be paid. They will never respond to a request for information.

Per another board and I verified what was said is the same as said on the cc BTG had.

"With regard to the Exploitation Permit for Fekola Regional that we have all been waiting for, here is the news:
a) the Mali Council of Ministers yesterday finally issued a decree approving B2Gold's application for a "consolidated land package", which consolidates the Bantako, Menankoto and Bakolobi land areas into one permit. For whatever reason, this was the reason for the ridiculous delay since September 2024. They wanted a consolidated land package prior to applying for an Exploitation Permit.
b) only now can B2Gold submit the application for the Exploitation Permit. Per B2Gold official: "It’s been completed. It’s translated. It’s ready to go. We need a little bit of time to include all of the details that come out of that consolidated permit and flow those through the application ..... The turnaround time [for the granting of the Exploitation Permit] has been historically about 30 to 60 days". They expect to submit the application for the Exploitation Permit "within the week".
So there you go. Permit expected June 15 to July 15. Goose on track for commercial production starting in July. Once these two news items hit (Goose producing, Fekola Regional EP granted), expect the share price to explode."

Just a heads up and many might not know that Gold has to be Basel 111 compliant on July 1st. Europe is already there.

That means those that play games with paper trades face the potential of asset level extinction if they don't comply. Gold must be available for delivery July 1st onwards.

BTG results come out tomorrow night after the close. Clive needs to update shareholders on the status of Mali and our shares on the Aurion JV.
