Something else very cool about that Fisker Alaska pickup truck that I've never heard about - The "Houdini partition" allows the bed length to extend to 7.5 feet without folding down the rear seats. That means if someone had a 3rd party shell on back, it's long enough to sleep inside the truck when camping, without ever having to get out of the truck. Can't do that in any other pickup truck that I know of!

Sounds great if that came to fruition!

Add the Fisker Alaska to the mix and it would be a stealth easy way for some manufacturer to break into the SUV and pickup space, without a ton of risk. This only real problem with Fisker is that the CEO is a great designer but it's better to have engineering types who like numbers running the company so they can manage the expenses better.

I figure we'll get a decent offer if for no other reason than some manufacturer trying to prevent another manufacturer from competing against them. With a turnaround team finally on board, I think we're in a much better position to get a buyout offer.

The Fisker Alaska pickup truck appears to be compelling offering at $45,400 if it gets released this year as expected. If there's a Chevy fan who wants an electric truck, they might forego a Rivian (Ford essentially) and get an Alaska. It's not just that, but that extended 9.2 foot length, with the seats folded down, for hauling long timber, is a very practical and compelling feature. Here's a Car & Driver article about the truck.

Looks great to me! I like how they keep closing their showrooms, terminating employees, and trimming it down for a new buyer who won't need any of that. We might not get a killer offer for the company, but somebody is bound to want it.

If the Fisker Ocean SUV still has 40,000 pre-orders, down from 70,000, that's still a lot of potential customers who want it. The range is good, it's lightning fast, the sun roof is slick, almost like a convertible, in addition to adding solar features.

If the price goes back up to a reasonable $50,000 per unit (still lower than their competitors), that's $2 billion in potential revenue if the new buyer sells 40,000 units. I like the numbers.
