MetLife (NYSE:MET) announced today that is has been recognized
by CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project) for leadership in
reporting and management of climate change issues. CDP, a

placing the company in the “Leadership” category. Companies in this
category scored 75% or higher on disclosure, awareness, and
management of environmental issues, they also earn additional
points for other actions they have taken.

CDP scores are based upon a company’s disclosure practices and
management of climate change risks. The CDP global disclosure
system helps companies measure and manage their environmental
impact. CDP’s data management system is used by investors,
purchasing managers and policy makers around the world to better
understand environmental performance.
“MetLife is committed to preserving the environment and
providing a healthy workplace for our employees,” said Marty
Lippert, executive vice president and head of MetLife Global
