Dow Jones News
Wells Fargo Advisors, the brokerage unit of Wells Fargo &
Co. (WFC) recently hired five financial advisers from UBS Wealth
Management Americas who managed a combined $644 million in client
assets.
On Jan. 6, Matthew Montini joined Wells Fargo Advisors Financial
Network, or FINET, the firm's independent channel, in San Jose,
Calif. Montini, a 28-year industry veteran, generated $1.1 million
in fees and commissions and had $220 million in assets under
management.
Other new hires include Christopher Zich, Kenneth Fruehauf,
Thomas Buhl and Keeland Howe. The team, which has a dual office
listing and is based in Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich. and Scottsdale,
Ariz., had $4 million in combined annual production and managed
$424 million in client assets.
They report to Douglas Wood, branch manager in Michigan and
Robert Burghart, branch manager in Arizona.
Before joining Wells Fargo, Zich and Fruehauf worked at UBS for
more than seven years, according to Financial Industry Regulatory
Authority records. Howe was a nearly nine-year UBS veteran, while
Buhl spent more than three years there, Finra records show.
UBS didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
(STREET MOVES chronicles the migration of executives on Wall
Street, with a particular emphasis on financial advisers with more
than $1 million in annual production and who manage more than $100
million in client assets.)
