HONG KONG-- Barclays PLC has named Patrick Kwan and Reid Marsh
as the new co-heads of investment banking for the Asia Pacific
region.
Mr. Kwan is currently Head of Global Finance & Risk
Solutions and London based Mr. Reid is currently Vice Chairman,
Investment Banking, and Executive Chairman of Global Industrials
Group.
The appointments come as the British lender realigns its banking
business in Asia as it restructures its global investment bank.
Already a string of senior executives have left the bank's Asian
operations including Jason Rynbeck, vice chairman of mergers and
acquisitions for the Asian-Pacific region, who departed in May and
has since joined rival HSBC Holdings PLC. Other moves include
Matthew Ginsburg, the previous head of Barclays' regional
investment banking, who stepped down from his role but stayed
within the bank.
