RBC Wealth Management has nabbed a Merrill Lynch Wealth
Management team.
The Thompson Wealth Management Group, led by Daniel Thompson,
has joined RBC Wealth's Indianapolis office. Matt Rittenhouse and
Alyson Frantz joined the brokerage along with Mr. Thompson as a
senior financial associate and a senior registered client
associate, respectively.
Mr. Thompson joined RBC Wealth as a senior vice president.
Altogether, the Thompson team had $103 million in assets under
administration and $1.2 million in production.
Mr. Thompson began his financial adviser career at Merrill when
he joined its "Thundering Herd" in 2004, according to BrokerCheck,
the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority's database on brokers
and advisers. Mr. Rittenhouse had been at Merrill since 2007, while
Ms. Frantz had been there since 2010, BrokerCheck records show.
A Merrill Lynch spokeswoman declined to comment on the
departure.
With Mr. Thompson's team, RBC Wealth said it has attracted 83
new advisers who manage more than $8 billion in assets and have
more than $59 million in production in the fiscal year so far.
Altogether, the firm's nearly 2,000 advisers manage more than $278
billion in assets.
