GE today announces the appointment of two new company officers. Both
employees are assuming newly created positions. GE currently has 197
officers globally who lead large revenue generating businesses or are in
critical functional roles, helping to drive growth.
Below are the details of the new officers:
Maria A. DiPietro, 54, has been appointed vice president of
Global Operations - Europe for Global Growth and Operations (GGO). In
this role, she is responsible for optimizing GE’s operating structure
and processes across Europe and improving GE’s competiveness in those
markets. She will be based in London, England.
Maria has been with GE for over 20 years, having held numerous
leadership positions within GE Capital. In her most recent post, Maria
served as the Chief Operations, Technology and Quality Leader for GE
Capital -EMEA. Prior to joining GE, Maria was the director of credit and
collections at American Express.
She received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in business
administration from Suffolk University in Massachusetts.
Peter E. McCabe, 47, has been appointed vice president of Global
Operations for GGO. In this role, Peter will lead the newly formed
Global Operations organization to bring together all company-wide
resources that work on core financial processes and will be responsible
for driving the execution of enterprise standards. Peter has more than
17 years of experience at GE. Prior to his appointment, he served as
president and CEO of GE Healthcare Services EMEA since 2010.
McCabe began his career with GE in 1988 and rejoined the company in 2000
after holding positions at Halliburton and Mastech, where he served as
managing principal.
Peter has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from
Northeastern University in Massachusetts.
