FitzBradshaw Racing Announces Partnership with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital MEMPHIS, Tenn. March 26 /PRNewswire/ -- St. Jude Children's Research Hospital(R) and FitzBradshaw Racing are revving up to fight childhood cancer and other catastrophic diseases. The organizations announced today a partnership that includes a special St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Racing to Save Lives commemorative paint scheme on the No. 12 FitzBradshaw Busch Series car. The car will race in the Pepsi 300 at Nashville Superspeedway today, as well as during the running of the Federated Auto Parts 300 on June 11 at Nashville. Today also marks the debut of distinctive maroon Racing to Save Lives rubber bracelets which will be available for sale at http://www.fitzbradshaw.com/ with proceeds benefiting St. Jude. "NASCAR says we have 75 million race fans following the sport and we would like a sizable number of them to support St. Jude by purchasing a bracelet," says Armando Fitz, co-owner of FitzBradshaw Racing, the largest team in the Busch Series. "The children of St. Jude need our help. It's a worthy cause and the right thing to do." FitzBradshaw sponsors have also committed to other activities including the participation of co-owners Armando Fitz and Terry Bradshaw in the FedEx St. Jude Classic, a PGA Tour golf tournament that benefits St. Jude. That event will feature a competition between Green Bay Packer quarterback Brett Favre and Hall of Famer and FOX broadcaster Terry Bradshaw for who makes the most birdies in the Pro-Am. Snapper mowers, represented by Favre, and Ferris Brand commercial mowers, represented by Fitz and Bradshaw, will be making a one-time contribution to St. Jude for this birdy challenge. FitzBradshaw sponsor Supercuts is also participating on a regional level, with a pit stop competition at the next Nashville race in June that will raise money for St. Jude. FitzBradshaw Racing officials are also encouraging sponsors to find additional ways to support the hospital. On hand to make the announcement were FitzBradshaw co-owners Armando and Mimi Fitz and Terry Bradshaw, ALSAC/St. Jude Chief Executive Officer Elect John Moses, and a St. Jude family who shared their St. Jude experience with those in attendance. FitzBradshaw Racing is owned by NASCAR veterans Armando and Mimi Fitz and Pro Football Hall of Fame member and FOX broadcaster Terry Bradshaw. The team fields three Dodge Chargers in the NASCAR Busch Series: the No. 12, sponsored by Supercuts and Hot Tamales; the No. 14, sponsored by the Navy; and the No. 40 sponsored by Jani-King, Goulds Pumps, and Cottman Transmissions. FitzBradshaw Racing is the only Busch series team that offers its sponsors exposure in NASCAR, the NFL and on television.
