LONDON--EE, the mobile operator, Monday posted a rise in
earnings on higher revenue.
The company said earnings before interest, tax, deprecation and
amortization adjusted for exceptional items in the six months ended
June 30 rose 9.2% year-over-year to GBP830 million ($1.29 billion).
Revenue increased 0.1% to GBP3.12 billion.
In the second quarter, it said mobile average revenue per user
increased 2.2% year-over-year, excluding the impact of regulation.
Fixed-line revenue rose 18%.
BT Group PLC (BT.A.LN) agreed a multi-billion dollar deal to
acquire EE, with the transaction subject to regulatory
clearance.
