Smiths Medical, a leading global medical device manufacturer, today named Stuart Morris-Hipkins as Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing. In this newly created position, Morris-Hipkins will be responsible for all worldwide sales, downstream marketing and customer support operations for the full product portfolio of Smiths Medical.

Stuart Morris-Hipkins joined Smiths Group in 1998 and has more than 15 years of global experience in developing and executing top- and bottom-line growth strategies across multiple industries. He has held senior commercial, financial and management positions in a variety of industries including: metal gearing, aerospace components, china, porcelain and glassware, polymer sealing solutions and electronic interconnect solutions.

In 2002, he became President of Hypertronics (Specialty Engineering Division), a provider of electronic interconnect solutions for the medical, military and industrial markets. He joined Smiths Medical in 2006 and has, most recently, served as president of Smiths Medical North America responsible for the commercial operations in the United States and Canada.

Morris-Hipkins holds an MSc degree in Atmospheric Sciences as well as a BSc degree in Mathematics and Chemistry. He is an International Associate of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in the U.S. and a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA) in the UK.
