Yeah, considering what the airline industry and saker have experienced over the past couple years, I think it would be wise to keep stacking their excess cash before delving out their cash to shareholders. Revisiting this topic down the road would be much more realistic if profitably continues in the right direction.

SKAS 3.98 - the recent 10-Q-filing shows:

As of November 15, 2021, the registrant had 1,028,863 shares of its common stock, $0.03 par value, issued and outstanding

Cash = 2,010,293

Total Liabilities = 900,244

They should utilize that rich cash reserve in the form of a one-time-dividend to light a fire under some apathetic kiesters? $.25 cents, $.50 cents even better...

Take a look at their precovid numbers and this is an absolute bargain. They were cash flow positive and started paying a dividend in 2019. Company was producing profit which is rare nowadays lol. What a bargain. Just annoying how illiquid it is cause they are playing games with the ask.

Another solid Q looks like this years earnings will be more than double last years, cash is up we get a nice sweet dividend now, has no been an exciting stock by any means but has been/will be solid.

Anytime flippers/shorts get it anywhere near 3.50 is a no brainer, always worth just leaving a GTC order in at that level I always have a AON in for a few hundred shares just in case Santa wishes to fill my stocking early.

Peace out.

Agreed and going forward the next 18 months will be great. 2020 as with all election years will be over the top, much travel especially in and around NYC.

Would love to see what in store though, been looking for another services hub, they are always so tight lipped. At the end of the day, one of the safest investments on OTC catch the lows and sleep easy, the little something something you can set aside and not even think about, better than money in the bank.

Still wondering to about being bought, taken private etc.

Peace out.

Saker Aviation Services, Inc. Announces Financial Results for the Six Months Ended June 30, 2019

Revenue of $5.2 Million in 2019 Up 5.6% Versus $5.0 Million in 2018

Net Income of $279,000 in 2019 Up $292,000 Versus Net Loss of $14,000 in 2018

NEW YORK, Aug. 14, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Saker Aviation Services, Inc. (OTCQB:SKAS), an aviation services company specializing in ground-based services to the general aviation marketplace, today announced its financial results for the three and six months ended June 30, 2019.

Revenue in the six months ended June 30, 2019 of $5,235,369, was up 5.6 percent from $4,955,908 in the same period in 2018. Net income in the six months ended June 30, 2019 of $278,525, up $292,437 as compared to a net loss in the three months ended June 30, 2018 of $13,912.

We are pleased to post another quarter in 2019 that shows significant improvement as compared to 2018, stated Ron Ricciardi, the Companys president & CEO. The quarterly and six month results reflect the recovery of our heliport business after the fatal helicopter accident in early 2018. The impact of a fatal helicopter accident in early 2018, as previously reported, had a negative impact on results in the final three quarters of 2018. The recovery from that event may reflect positive comparisons going forward in 2019.

The Company also reported Adjusted EBITDA1 of $465,305 for the six months ended June 30, 2019, an increase of $195,305 or 72.3 percent as compared to Adjusted EBITDA of $270,000 in the six months ended June 30, 2018. Please see footnote 1 below for the Companys definition of Adjusted EBITDA, a description of why the Company uses Adjusted EBITDA and important disclaimers regarding Adjusted EBITDA, which is a non-GAAP measure. A reconciliation of Adjusted EBITDA to the appropriate GAAP measure is also included in footnote 1.

- FINANCIAL TABLES TO FOLLOW -

1 Explanation of Adjusted EBITDA, a Non-GAAP Financial Measure

The Company defines Adjusted EBITDA as earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, as adjusted for stock based compensation expense and other income and expense items. The Company believes that Adjusted EBITDA, which is a financial measure that is not defined by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), is a useful performance metric because it eliminates non-cash and/or non-recurring charges to earnings. It is important to note that non-GAAP measures such as Adjusted EBITDA should be considered in addition to, not as a substitute for or superior to, net income, cash flows, or other measures of financial performance prepared in accordance with GAAP. A reconciliation of net income to Adjusted EBITDA is as follows for the six months ended June 30, 2019 and 2018.

For the Six Months Ended
June 30,
2019 2018
Net income (loss) $ 278,525 $ (13,912 )

Interest income (14,635 ) (26,129 )
Income tax expense 131,000 ---
Stock compensation expense 16,998 16,998

Q1 Liking the numbers, good turnaround from last year from (-.21) to .05+ not bad winter numbers and it was a bad winter. Solid add or starter in 3 or under range IMHO.

Starting to think like others if another hub opening doesn't come to pass may well be a buyout?

Well my opinion is I don't have one LOL. Knew/felt big shake up would happen when old man was out of the picture. Do not get the buying back so many hares last year then now a split.

A) Buyout?

B) Something to do with daughters company?

C) Merge?

Happy to sit and wait an see, agree with you on value of company 5.70 range I have 21,333 shares now after the RS having added some his year flipping bit and buying lows when I could.

We will just have to wait and see.

Something definitely up and it's not a bad thing evidently judging by stock activity just prior and after he RS.

Peace out

Another, and me thinks, more likely scenario:

Insiders take control of the company with majority ownership of stock.

They have an opinion letter drafted by recognized auditor to determine the value of the company. Opinion letter values company at book plus a paltry premium due to risks (which will be well cited).

They vote to take the company private.

Shareholders are bought out at @ ~ $5.70 per share. (which will be a premium to the whatever the stock is trading at when announced)

Lots of shenanigans in the these penny plays. Think like a criminal (white collar, of course). I've seen the CEO's of these companies *suck from the public teet then slam the door on it, once it's established and beginning to make a profit.

*a simile borrowed from a fellow investor.

πŸ‘οΈ0
Lazarus Lazarus 5 years ago

EPS on 3 & 9 mos has been at .01 per share for the last year, thus the EPS post split will be in neighborhood of .30 per share (unless/until they improve).

Authorized shares have not been increased (indicating no plans for dilution)

Insiders as of last 10k own 13,405,971 shares (41.1% of company) and last Q shows approx 10% of the outstanding shares were repurchased by company over the course of the last year.

Insiders will soon have over 50% of shares/majority interest.

My guess: they eventually want to take the company private.

Additionally the RS will put a halt to speculation / volatility that comes with being a "penny stock". (Good bye penny flippers)

Not upset by the RS s usually a bummer this one not so much don't understand it but must be a reason.

Will definitely put it in the .60-1.00 EPS range.
