same here, but if we get a nice move with copper and Biden shutting down big projects coupled with shortage, we have a shot at a nice return. Holding 127,500 shares bought over the past couple years with profit from other deals.. Worth a shot and has a good story..

No winners in this stock and that is for sure if you held all the way down. Just wait for the Nuton news on Johnson which will hopefully be out by June 2024.

They cannot get Gunnison restarted fast enough. A lot depends on Johnson though and that decision should come in Qtr. 2.

For the real production using well stimulation, likely they will use the fund from Nuton or they need another round of refinancing. I'm just not sure about the field test, I do hope they can get the test done without relying on Nuton.

I believe they are going to use Nuton funding for the stimulation. I am not sure anything has started.

I agree that their cash position is very low, but according to their presentation, well stimulation is scheduled to be carried out in Q1 and Q2 of 2024. I do hope they have sufficient funds to conduct the well stimulation at Gunnison following the recent $5 million refinancing at least.

I have been watching the copper price and it is doing well. I think we should have an answer in the next 3 months on whether Johnson is a go. MIN will use Nuton money to get Gunnison going . I believe the company has next to nil in cash at present to work on Gunnison.

Even though Excelsior is not currently producing copper, a higher copper price is still beneficial to the company in many ways. For example, in short term, it may facilitate their ability to negotiate a better deal with Nuton.

In case you haven't noticed, there is a new investor presentation on the Excelsior website.

Every other day I look for some news and nada. Not sure when we will hear from Rio but it cannot come soon enough. Either way these junior mining and biotech investments are nothing but crapshoots. Especially when they are listed in Canada.

Thank you for sharing that Walter. I am in contact with Shawn from time to time and he has reported the same thing. Need Nuton second stage financing to use for Gunnison. Hopefully things might get going by Sept. 2024. Patience is a virtue with all the stocks I own and it is trying.

Thanks for sharing. While using the cash from Nuton Stage 2 to fund well stimulation avoids additional dilution, it also brings about delays and uncertainty. Let's hope things go as planned this time.

I still have a lot of followers that have invested in Excelsior. The shareprice seems  at a bottom and I just read that Goldman Sachs is very optimistic about copper.

Do you still believe that Excelsior is going tob e succesful and  if yes why? It is a long time that Excelsior has been in the news. How is this well stimulation programme  progressing?

What can be the catalyst fort he shareprice of Excelsior in your view? Is this still for 2024?

Hi Walter,

 

Yes we remain confident that Excelsior will be successful.   Working with Nuton at the Johnson Camp Mine continues to move forward at a good pace.  There is a lot of value in the deal we did with them and are excited to see it going forward.  Several catalyst on this project are expected in Q1 or H1 this year; the release of metallurgical column test results and other metallurgical testing, and subject to these results being good, the project moving to Stage 2, which would provide us additional non-dilute cash and a significant reduction in costs, making more money available for well stimulation and Gunnison.

 

On the well stimulation, all approvals have been received, but we would like to use the cash from Nuton Stage 2 to fund this work, so subject to Nuton moving to Stage 2, we would commence the well stimulation program towards the end of H1. 

 

We have been marketing (e.g. the recent Vancouver Round-up conference and about 20 or so virtual meetings the last few months).  More marketing is coming up, but unfortunately no significant news flow until Nuton release some results.

 

There is tremendous value here, it’s just a matter of us getting some of these things done in H1 to start realizing that value.

Thank you, Buddy. Yeah, I was serious and I have to admit it's a stupid mistake, I was being too optimistic when the CO2 issue first came up. I talked to JJ when he was IR and the guy kinda lied to me but I don't want to blame him, it's my mistake.

Thank God I've made money from my other investments so my wife won't kill me for the $2MM loss on paper:). I'm prepared for the worst, even this company go bully up, I can still survive.

I won't sell any of my shares b4 the commercial production starts.

Will well stimulation work at Gunison? I'm certainly not an expert on this matter, but I do believe it will eventually be successful, considering that fracking is a well-established technology widely used in the oil and natural gas industry for a long time.

Are you serious? That is a lot of money allocated to this company. I feel bad for you. This is the only stock I own where I bought somewhere near the low but I am in the red also. I do keep in contact with IR and they are bullish on future prospects. They could use the Johnson money coming in as they would be a big help. Rio Tinto is the player.

Hope you can retrieve your losses. It should be an easy transition to get the Gunnison mine operational once they fix the CO2 issue.

Someone has dumped approximately 300K MIN shares in the last few days (market maker ID/mmid: 022). I am unsure whether this is an insider who has privileged information or simply an individual who can no longer hold the shares. Nonetheless, I have purchased roughly half of these shares. I am currently experiencing a paper loss of approximately 2MM dollars on this stock, but I don't mind losing 20K more:). Hope I can still smile after a couple of years.

Ouch. You are not the only one I know that has taken a beating in this stock. I always love a mining story but waited on buying this until recently. I have taken a bath on my other spec.investments. I do not know the management team here but know Shawn and like him.
Let us see if they can get a deal with Nuton and that should pave the way for fixing Gunnison.

Am I being stalked? Bitching about stocks is what I do when they are being managed into the ground. The 3 I mentioned have had terrible years but Excelsior's problems were ground related and not their fault.

The 4th one I own has had management issues for a decade or longer. Timelines seem to never be met, yet they were rewarded multi- million dollar rewards for their services. I am wishing Lebby would be moved to the CTO position. That is my opinion. Marcelli is a joke and you know that as well.

No need to visit here again. The board is full of tumbleweeds and you have better things to do than chase me here. I am wondering who told you about this stock. Not exactly a household name.

Hopefully they can get this problem fixed at Gunnison. The stock price is very cheap at the moment due to the uncertainty of what is going to happen. I have been nibbling these past few weeks but will not commit to a large position. That is due to the fact that everything I buy now goes to ****. Owning highly speculative stocks in a high interest environment has cost investors a lot of money this year.

3 months ago I got the following response from Shawn:

We have all necessary permits to conduct the well-field stimulation.
Trials are to start in Q4 of this year after final planning is complete.
It will take approximately 3-6 months for results.
This is because we want to have data from several months during the leaching cycle,
and will be working on best practices and procedures for when we roll the stimulation out to the entire well-field.

Thanks. I keep wondering how long the process will take to see if they can reopen the Gunnison mine. I am not sure why they are even bothering with the Johnson one as it does not seem to bring enough copper to the surface. Unless the world crashes, copper will be needed big time. Let us hope they can get Gunnison running again. I had sent emails to the big stock owners but received no reply to questions. Also to Shawn(IR) who is great about responding.

I began accumulating EXMGF in 2015. I'm no geologist, but the geologists at Greenstone, Triple Flag, and Nuton all seem to like Gunnison and JCM. Once the Gunnison well stimulation process proves successful, this is going to rocket in my opinion. The success of reopening JCM hinges on the price of copper. The Excelsior story has always been about whether the in-situ process will work for copper. I think everyone is waiting for the well stimulation to begin. Hopefully Q1 2024.

It has been such a brutal year that everything I touch goes to mush.Niocorp has been a complete disaster along with two other investments that have a great story but horrid management. I do not know enough about this management team.

I'm not the best person to offer an informed opinion as I don't have a finance background. My sense is that the terms are favorable, money will be available for continued development of both projects, Gunnison and Johnson, and the big fish backing the project like Greenstone are all in. But, I emphasize that I'm not a finance guy. Perhaps someone else on the board can offer a more informed opinion.

This stock has hit the skids. Not sure how much tax selling will hit this but I will be buying at lower prices to income average. Not a good year price wise for this company.

Excelsior Mining Provides Update on Mining Activities at Gunnison and JCM Copper Projects


Excelsior Mining Corp. (TSX: MIN) (FSE: 3XS) (OTCQB: EXMGF) ("Excelsior" or the "Company") is pleased to provide an update on the mining camp encompassed by the Gunnison Copper Project (Gunnison), the Johnson Camp Copper Mine (JCM) and Strong and Harris, located in Cochise County, southeastern Arizona.

Nuton - JCM Update

In addition to the favorable drilling results which were previously announced on September 14, 2023 and October 16, 2023, Nuton related activities are progressing according to plan and remain on budget and on schedule. Nuton has begun running leaching tests with the NutonTM technologies.
Should Nuton elect to move to Stage 2 of the project, then construction is anticipated to commence in H1 2024.

Gunnison Copper Project Update

Additional well stimulation modelling has recently been completed, which supports the results of prior modelling, indicating well stimulation has the potential to greatly improve flow, connectivity and permeability, thereby improving sweep efficiency and gas bubble removal. See October 18th 2022 News for prior modelling.
Contractors have been identified for certain aspects of the well stimulation trails and long-lead item equipment has been acquired or ordered.
Trials are subject to work plan approvals and additional working capital.

Mining Camp

Excelsior is taking a broader and more integrated view of the entire mining camp under its control, including the potential for a large centralized processing facility taking advantage of the recent advances in sulfide leaching technology, like that provided by Nuton, combined with more traditional mining approaches like large open pit mining.
Well stimulation at the Gunnison Copper Project remains the primary focus; however, the results of Excelsior's review may indicate favorable economics for open pit mining of Excelsior assets.
The resource estimate the Gunnison Copper Project compares favorably to other proposed open pit mining operations in Arizona in terms of grade and tonnage.
The concept of a larger, centralized processing facility being fed by traditional mining activities would benefit the nearby Strong and Harris project, which is located only 2 miles (3.2 km) north of Johnson Camp.

"There are relatively few large copper development projects in safe jurisdictions around the world that have our permitting track record and near-term production potential. That makes us very excited by the future of our mining camp. JCM, Strong and Harris and Gunnison have the combined potential for over 150 million pounds of copper per year assuming full production ramp up is achieved, which would make Excelsior a top 10 copper producer in Arizona," states Stephen Twyerould, President and CEO.

Very tough to watch the price slowly dropping in a daily basis. Gunnison news is the only thing I want to see and there are crickets. Maybe sometime in 2024 we will see where the submissions stand.
