Lufthansa Cargo AG, a unit of Deutsche Lufthansa AG (LHA.XE), Thursday said Karl Ulrich Garnadt will succeed Carsten Spohr as chief executive of the unit, effective Jan. 1, initially for three years.

MAIN FACTS:

-Garnadt is currently in charge of Hub Management & Passenger Services on the Lufthansa German Airlines.

-Karl-Rudolf Rupprecht will succeed Karl-Heinz Koepfle as Board Member Operations at Lufthansa Cargo.

-Koepfle will retire on April 1, after 42 years of service at the Lufthansa Group.
