I still think theydrilled sills, not one large ore body, and it's always sell the news. If that is what everyone was waiting for then, there it is, but there is still much to do. I think they have a descent ore body, but not as massive as they have led everyone to believe. I think I would look for a good discount day to buy, after there has been a few months of distribution. But I only trade em, so I don't usually hold for too long.

Seems to me that alot of momentum has left the sector for now. Good luck.

I'm out but what do you think of that latest PR? The strike lengths seem pretty formidable, although the stock is tanking on the news

I'm not that knowledgeable, but what GCR hit did go against local geological situations. Mostly sills found in the area, not larger prophyr style, and given right next store are similar structures, it only makes sense, but the second hole at a lesser angle of drilling only hit 12 meters or whatever, that told me they probably drilled on angle. So when you plotted out both holes 1 and 2 it looked like a sill, and given the other two possible section both around 10 meters I think they were, it only made sense.

But of course the final verdict will take months to prove or disprove.

Add to that the chart patterns and candlesticks and overbought/oversold conditions which I use indiscriminately to pick direction.

Sounds like you're pretty knowledgable about drilling results and what they mean.

Care to elaborate more on what you think their drilling results mean?

Looks like sills it is, hopefully longs have already sold. UNO has play possibility, still cheap with possibly 120 meters of visuals that could turn into actual assays soon, but of course visuals are just that!

drills 11.6 m of 1.11% Ni at Langmuir

Golden Chalice drills 11.6 m of 1.11% Zn at Langmuir

2007-07-19 19:55 ET - News Release

Mr. Richard Hughes reports

GOLDEN CHALICE RESOURCES - LANGMUIR NICKEL DISCOVERY

Golden Chalice Resources Inc.'s nickel mineralization continues to depth at the Langmuir nickel discovery. The Langmuir property is located about 35 kilometres south of Xstrata's Kidd Creek metallurgical site in Timmins, Ont. Partial assay results from the third drill hole, GCL07-11, suggest that nickel (Ni) mineralization occurs in multiple zones at depth. In addition, full assay results from drill hole GCL07-10 indicate higher-grade platinum (Pt) and palladium (Pd) grades for massive sulphide mineralization.

Drill hole GCL07-11 was collared 75 metres south of GCL07-6, the initial discovery hole which reported 72.90 metres drilled width of 1.14 per cent Ni, and an up-dip drill hole GCL07-10, which intersected 2.36 per cent Ni over 14.90 metres of drilled width.

Drill hole GCL07-11 encountered three separate mineralized intervals of nickel mineralization. The first interval from 213 to 220.8 metres intersected 0.89 per cent Ni, 0.06 per cent copper (Cu), 0.21 gram per tonne (g/t) Pd and 0.18 g/t Pt over 7.80 metres drilled width. A second mineralized interval from 264.3 to 270.3 metres intersected 1.52 per cent Ni, 0.21 per cent Cu, 0.29 g/t Pd and 0.13 g/t Pt over a drilled width of six metres. The third mineralized zone encountered 1.11 per cent Ni, 0.13 per cent Cu, 0.23 g/t Pd and 0.11 g/t Pt over a drilled width of 11.6 metres from 314.40 to 326 metres.

The mineralized sections were sampled based on visual sulphide mineral observations and assays are still pending for sections sampled between these more mineralized sections. The first two zones are currently interpreted to correlate with the mineralized zones encountered in the first two drill holes. However, the third mineralized zone may be a separate new zone. This third zone occurred approximately 200 metres vertically below surface and deeper drilling is required to determine the down-dip and down-plunge extent of this and the other mineralized zones.

Complete platinum and palladium group assay results have also been received for the previous drill hole GCL07-10 which reported 2.36 per cent Ni over 14.9 metres and now includes 0.52 g/t Pd and 0.22 g/t Pt. This intersection includes massive sulphide from 94.6 to 95 metres that assayed 0.58 g/t Pt, 2.25 g/t Pd and 17.9 per cent Ni.

Golden Chalice is currently drilling on strike of the first three drill holes and assays are pending for sulphide mineralization encountered in a drill hole collared approximately 25 metres southwest of holes GCL07-6 and GC07-10. Laboratory results are expected to be delayed by two to three weeks because of the large inventory of samples that need to be processed due to the busy summer field season.

Drilling on the Langmuir property will continue to test the zone along strike and at depth.

Geotech has also been commissioned to fly the entire Langmuir property with the latest and most advanced version of the B-field VTEM (versatile time-domain electromagnetic) airborne system. This survey is expected to start within two weeks. Less than one-third of the Langmuir property was flown in 2006 with an older version of the VTEM system which identified 18 clusters (groups) of electromagnetic (EM) anomalies. Drill testing of one EM anomaly in a VTEM cluster resulted in the Langmuir nickel discovery. The company is optimistic that additional clusters of EM anomalies will be identified by the advanced VTEM system on the remainder of the Langmuir property. The Langmuir property is located about 35 kilometres south of Xstrata's Kidd Creek metallurgical site in Timmins, Ont.

Peter Caldbick, PGeo, and Kevin Montgomery, PGeo, are the qualified people for the purposes of National Instrument 43-101 for the company's Langmuir project.

We seek Safe Harbor.

Golden Chalice discovers zinc zone at Abitibi East

Mr. Richard Hughes reports

GOLDEN CHALICE RESOURCES INTERSECTS LARGE ZINC ZONE ON THE ABITIBI EAST PROPERTY

Golden Chalice Resources Inc. has discovered a wide zinc-mineralized zone in a geological setting similar to the world-class Kidd Creek deposit. The new zinc discovery occurs on the company's Abitibi East property located approximately 65 kilometres east of Xstrata's zinc processing metallurgical facility in Timmins, Ont. The Abitibi East property is also located about 70 kilometres northeast of the company's Langmuir property where a new nickel discovery was first reported in Stockwatch on May 16, 2007. Drilling continues on both properties. Laboratory results for the Langmuir property drilling are expected to be received and announced later this week.

Drilling on the Abitibi East property in 1998 by previous operators first identified geology favourable for hosting volcanogenic massive sulphide-style (VMS) zinc, lead, copper mineralization similar to the Kidd Creek mine (117,547,000 tonnes at 2.2 per cent copper, 7.25 per cent zinc, 0.28 per cent lead and 147.43 grams per tonne silver). The Kidd Creek deposit is associated with felsic lava domes and cryptodomes that occur proximal to synvolcanic fault zones. The company's initial drilling in 2005 confirmed the VMS potential, intersecting 1.25 per cent Zn, 0.13 per cent Pb and 0.04 per cent copper over 4.5 metres of core length. Systematic follow-up drilling during 2006 and 2007 across what is considered to be a six-kilometre-wide basin located the most favourable area for more detailed drilling to discover a VMS deposit.

To date, a consistent horizon of stringer and disseminated Zn, Cu and Pb mineralization with anomalous Ag has been identified, spanning a strike length of approximately 2.0 kilometres. Geological, geochemical (MMI) and geophysical (VTEM and induced polarization) information have been used to target and identify areas for testing mineralization at depth.

The new discovery was found with the first two holes drilled at depth on one of a number of targets. The results suggest that zinc mineralization is increasing in tenor to depth. The first hole was an extension of an earlier drilled hole, hole GCAE-07-02. This hole, drilled at azimuth 195 degrees and dip minus 50 degrees, intersected 1.59 per cent Zn, 0.41 per cent Pb and 0.02 per cent Cu over 12.10 metres of core length from 391.5 to 403.6 metres. The second hole, GCAE-07-16, was drilled on the same section with a collar 100 metres to the north behind hole GCAE-07-02 and with a dip of -70 degrees. This deeper hole intersected 2.00 per cent Zn, 0.55 per cent Pb and 0.01 per cent Cu over 10.0 metres of core length from 668 to 678 metres, within a longer intercept of 1.61 per cent Zn, 0.38 per cent Pb and 0.02 per cent Cu over 20.9 metres of core length from 668 to 688.9 metres. This larger and more mineralized zone is more than 300 metres down dip of the zone in hole GCAE-07-02.

In addition, the deeper hole not only intersected stringer and fracture-filled zinc mineralization, but also what appears to be replacement-style mineralization. This is the first hole where zinc-rich bands appear to be replacing bedding. This style of mineralization may be an indicator of increased proximity to a massive sulphide zone.

Dr. George Hudak, an associate professor at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and researcher on the relationships between volcanology, hydrothermal alteration and VMS deposits, has assisted company geologists in the recognition of lithologies and alteration at the Abitibi East property. Dr. Hudak is currently using lithogeochemistry (rock chemistry) and petrographic studies (microscope analysis of rock) to help vector (target) in on felsic domes and potential synvolcanic fault zones, which are often associated with VMS deposits.

The increase in size and strength of the zinc-mineralized zone at depth, combined with the recognition of debris flows with felsic lava fragments and sulphidic clasts, graphitic and cherty exhalites, moderate to strong silicification and sericitization, stringer Zn, Cu and Pb mineralization, and replacement-style mineralization in the drilling to date, supports the potential for a volcanogenic massive sulphide deposit on the Abitibi East property.

A summary of volcanogenic massive sulphide deposit environments and how they relate to the Abitibi East exploration is available on Golden Chalice Resources' website.

Further drilling is planned to target the down-dip and strike extent of this newly discovered mineralization. Peter Caldbick, PGeo, is the qualified person for the purposes of National Instrument 43-101, and has read and approved this news release.

Golden Chalice Resources Langmuir Property Drilling
Friday June 15, 5:29 pm ET

VANCOUVER, BC--(MARKET WIRE)--Jun 15, 2007 -- Golden Chalice Resources Inc. (Other OTC:GCRIF.PK - News) (CDNX:GCR.V - News) is pleased to announce that the second hole (GCL 07-10) on the Langmuir Nickel Discovery intersected 2.36% Nickel over 14.90 metres of drill core. Drill hole GCL 07-10 intersected the same strongly mineralized nickel, copper, and platinum group metal (pgm) zone occurring within an altered peridotitic komatiitic flow as in the discovery hole GCL 07-06 that was announced May 16.

Included in this intersection are two separate mineralized intervals of 2.95% Nickel (Ni) and 0.26% Copper (Cu) over 3.70 metres (upper) and 3.52% Ni and 0.48% Cu over 5.90 metres (lower). The lower interval contains a high-grade section of net textured to massive pentlandite -- pyrrhotite mineralization that returned 7.03% Ni and 0.82% Cu over 2.30 metres including 17.90% Ni and 0.83% Cu over 0.40 metres.

Platinum and palladium assays for GCL 07-10 are incomplete at this time (see table below).

The discovery hole (GCL 07-06) intersected a zone containing variable concentrations from 1% to 35% sulphide mineralization. This sulphide mineralization was from 99.50 to 172.00 metres core length with an average grade of 1.14% Ni, 0.11 g/t Pt and 0.26 g/t Pd over 72.50 metres. This included two separate heavily mineralized intervals of 2.23% Ni, 0.22% Cu, 0.20 g/t Pt, and 0.50 g/t Pd over 17.50 metres of drill core, and 1.74 % Ni, 0.12% Cu, 0.20 g/t Pt, and 0.47 g/t Pd over 13.10 metres of drill core.

Both holes were drilled from the same set-up site and oriented to drill across an airborne EM anomaly trend along the flight line azimuth of 325 degrees with dips of -55 degrees for GCL 07-06 and -45 degrees for GCL 07-10. The sulphide mineralization being intersected closer to surface in the second hole suggests that the zone has a subvertical dip to the north and is interpreted to widen at depth. The discovery will be tested to depth and on strike in order to interpret the true width and extent of the mineralized zone. Drilling is ongoing.

In addition, Hole GCL 07-10 was extended to 413.0m, and intersected two other mineralized sections with finely disseminated sulphides (less than 3%). One zone from 250m to 260m (10 metre core length) and the other from 300m to 310m (10 metre core length) down the hole. The sulphide intersections may or may not contain nickel as the assays are pending. However, what these intersections do indicate, is that the thick sequence of interbedded mafic to ultramafic flows, sills, and interflow sediments on the Langmuir Property have the potential to host additional mineralized zones at depth and along strike.

The Company's land holdings cover over 30 kilometres of favourable stratigraphy for hosting nickel, copper, platinum and palladium mineralization. The total land package for the Langmuir Property is now 851 claim units covering 13,616 hectares (34,000 acres).

An airborne VTEM survey has been flown over less than 30% of the Property. Of the 18 target areas identified by the survey, only 9 have been tested by drilling to date.

A rigorous quality assurance program is employed which includes the insertion of standards and blanks for each batch of samples. Samples of the NQ size drill core are sawed in half, with one-half sent to a commercial laboratory, Expert Laboratory of Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, and the other half retained for future reference. Core samples are routinely analyzed for nickel, copper and cobalt by aqua regia digestion with atomic absorption techniques. Any analyses greater than 10,000 ppm are re-analyzed using total acid digestion and atomic absorption techniques. Check analyses utilizing another assay laboratory are also being done.

Peter Caldbick, P.Geo., and Kevin Montgomery, P.Geo. are the qualified people for the purposes of National Instrument 43-101 for the Company's Langmuir Project.

About Golden Chalice

Golden Chalice is well positioned to discover and capitalize on world class gold, silver, copper, nickel, zinc, platinum, palladium and diamond deposits. Kodiak Acquires 7100 Hectares Adjacent to New Golden Chalice Nickel Discovery

Vancouver, British Columbia CANADA, June 25, 2007 /FSC/ - Kodiak Exploration Limited (KXL - TSX Venture), is pleased to announce that it has acquired through staking a 100% interest in over 7,100 hectares of mineral claims directly adjoining the property on which Golden Chalice Resources Inc. recently made a significant new nickel discovery (1.14 % Ni over 72.5 metres). The new Kodiak claims, collectively called the "Nighthawk" nickel project, cover ground identified by Kodiak's geologic team as being prospective for nickel mineralization after their analysis of geological and geophysical data. The analysis and staking took place immediately following announcement of the Golden Chalice discovery.

"We are very pleased with our geologic team's ability to quickly react to the discovery announcement and immediately mobilize staking crews to tie up this prospective ground," said Kodiak's President, Bill Chornobay. "We have been planning to grow our nickel asset base to complement our Caribou Lake project and the opportunity to quickly acquire significant ground in what may be a major new nickel district certainly helps us achieve part of that goal."

Kodiak's geologic team is currently compiling drilling records, district files and additional geological and geophysical data in order to prioritize areas for detailed evaluation. Kodiak plans to have field teams on the ground as soon as practicable to begin a detailed evaluation of the potential of these claims. A map showing the location of the new Kodiak claims can be found on the Kodiak web site at www.kodiakexp.com.

Kodiak continues to investigate other nickel opportunities as part of a strategic growth plan recently initiated by the company.

The information contained in this news release has been reviewed and approved by Robert B. Hawkins, Kodiak Chief Geologist, who is a qualified person for the Nighthawk Nickel project under the definitions established by National Instrument 43-101.

Kodiak is a mineral exploration company with significant projects in three different sectors of the mining resource industry. Through regional, grass-roots generative exploration and new geological models the Company has built a portfolio of 100% controlled projects focused on base metals (nickel/copper), gold and uranium in three different areas of Canada. Maps, photographs, detailed geologic reports and additional information may be viewed on our web site at www.kodiakexp.com.

It started the first go to 2.58 then stock went back to around 1.60 and shot up from there to set a new all time high around 2.80 then went on from there to 4.05

cause on may 31 1.2 mil were short and the high then was 2.58 after that who knows what the short position was as we will find out in a few days.

What all happens now is anybodys guess but Kidd Creek hole or the 3rd hole could surprise the shorts again

You never what to expect as we do not see the cores first.

I think the main reason GCR got to over the 4 bills was people trying to short it and it snowballed on them thus creating a short covering along with other buying that drove the stock price up

Sills, sills and more sills, evidenced by the two 10 meter sections depper in second hole. Looks like they drilled along trend on the first hole, so true width may indeed be only 14 or so meters, we've never seen that before in mining, a scizzor hole will probably show this. The 14 meters is updip, showing a narrow almost vertical sill, given the evidence of the other two narrow sulphides, just my opinion. Maybe the basal sulphides if they exist will show better. Otherwhise at most a few hundred thousand tonnes. Not exactly Voiseys. More in similarity to other nickel finds in the area.

CPTMatt CPTMatt 17 years ago
Would you say that is in line with expectations then?

I guess it's good to sit back every now and then and take a look at expectations.

If that is in line or better than expecatations then $4 here we come again (I hope).

I think if it drops down to the $2.20 area I'll be a buyer again.

The grade is all that's the news here, if you go back and look at their June07 release the width of the intersection was previously released for this up dip hole, the grade is better than the discovery hole!!!, so no doubt it will sell off because people are too lazy to actually understand what's behind the numbers, but it's actually great news!!!

2007-06-15 15:16 MT - News Release

Mr. Richard Hughes reports

GOLDEN CHALICE RESOURCES LANGMUIR PROPERTY DRILLING

Golden Chalice Resources Inc.'s second hole (GCL 07-10) on the Langmuir nickel discovery intersected 2.36 per cent nickel over 14.90 metres of drill core. Drill hole GCL 07-10 intersected the same strongly mineralized nickel, copper and platinum group metal (PGM) zone occurring within an altered peridotitic komatiitic flow as in the discovery hole GCL 07-06 that was announced in Stockwatch on May 16.

Included in this intersection are two separate mineralized intervals of 2.95 per cent nickel (Ni) and 0.26 per cent copper (Cu) over 3.70 metres (upper), and 3.52 per cent Ni and 0.48 per cent Cu over 5.90 metres (lower). The lower interval contains a high-grade section of net textured to massive pentlandite-pyrrhotite mineralization that returned 7.03 per cent Ni and 0.82 per cent Cu over 2.30 metres, including 17.90 per cent Ni and 0.83 per cent Cu over 0.40 metre.

Platinum and palladium assays for GCL 07-10 are incomplete at this time (see table).

The discovery hole (GCL 07-06) intersected a zone containing variable concentrations from 1 per cent to 35 per cent sulphide mineralization. This sulphide mineralization was from 99.50 to 172.00 metres core length with an average grade of 1.14 per cent Ni, 0.11 gram per tonne Pt and 0.26 g/t Pd over 72.50 metres. This included two separate heavily mineralized intervals of 2.23 per cent Ni, 0.22 per cent Cu, 0.20 g/t Pt and 0.50 g/t Pd over 17.50 metres of drill core, and 1.74 per cent Ni, 0.12 per cent Cu, 0.20 g/t Pt and 0.47 g/t Pd over 13.10 metres of drill core.

TABLE OF PRELIMINARY RESULTS FOR DRILL HOLE GCL-07-10 AND GCL-07-06

From To Core length Ni Cu Co Pt Pd
(m) (m) (m) (%) (%) (%) (g/t) (g/t)

GCL 07-10 81.00 95.90 14.90 2.36 0.26 0.03 - -
including 81.00 84.70 3.70 2.95 0.14 0.03 0.42 0.94
and 90.00 95.90 5.90 3.52 0.48 0.05 - -
GCL 07-06 99.50 172.00 72.50 1.14 0.08 0.02 0.11 0.26
including 116.90 130.00 13.10 1.74 0.12 0.02 0.20 0.47
and 149.50 167.00 17.50 2.23 0.22 0.04 0.20 0.50

Both holes were drilled from the same set-up site and oriented to drill across an airborne electromagnetic anomaly trend along the flight line azimuth of 325 degrees with dips of minus 55 degrees for GCL 07-06 and minus 45 degrees for GCL 07-10. The sulphide mineralization being intersected closer to surface in the second hole suggests that the zone has a subvertical dip to the north and is interpreted to widen at depth. The discovery will be tested to depth and on strike in order to interpret the true width and extent of the mineralized zone. Drilling is continuing.

In addition, hole GCL 07-10 was extended to 413.0 metres and intersected two other mineralized sections with finely disseminated sulphides (less than 3 per cent) -- one zone from 250 metres to 260 metres (10-metre core length) and the other from 300 metres to 310 metres (10-metre core length) down the hole. The sulphide intersections may or may not contain nickel as the assays are pending. However, what these intersections do indicate is that the thick sequence of interbedded mafic to ultramafic flows, sills and interflow sediments on the Langmuir property have the potential to host additional mineralized zones at depth and along strike.

The company's landholdings cover over 30 kilometres of favourable stratigraphy for hosting nickel, copper, platinum and palladium mineralization. The total land package for the Langmuir property is now 851 claim units covering 13,616 hectares (34,000 acres).

An airborne VTEM survey has been flown over less than 30 per cent of the property. Of the 18 target areas identified by the survey, only nine have been tested by drilling to date.

A rigorous quality assurance program is employed, which includes the insertion of standards and blanks for each batch of samples. Samples of the NQ-size drill core are sawed in half, with one-half sent to a commercial laboratory, Expert Laboratory of Rouyn-Noranda, Que., and the other half retained for future reference. Core samples are routinely analyzed for nickel, copper and cobalt by aqua regia digestion with atomic absorption techniques. Any analyses greater than 10,000 parts per million are reanalyzed using total acid digestion and atomic absorption techniques. Check analyses using another assay laboratory are also being done.

Peter Caldbick, PGeo, and Kevin Montgomery, PGeo, are the qualified persons for the purposes of National Instrument 43-101 for the company's Langmuir project.

So far today GCR is holding up with yesterday's gains. Good sign as volume is climbing to probably end the day above average or at average, currently with around $5.6 million volume traded

Not sure why everyone thinks this is going to be a big structure, all signs from management have said so far is, possibly 125 to 150 feet wide, 70 meters deep and possible 400 meters long! Hardly a monster! Maybe 50 million lbs?! I must be missing something huge here, but this is no Voisey Bay, looks done to me, went short yesterday hard near the close on the possible double top.

Well they're in the money now. I think this is more of a reaction to what is most likely viewed as an indication of a possible acquisition of GCR into a larger co.

I sold some and got out 3/4 of my initial cost such that my rebalanced portion is of equal value to my initial entry. I wish I would have waited until this afternoon, but hindsite is 20/20 and who can argue with 80-90% return.
