Intrado Inc. (NASDAQ: TRDO), a global provider of integrated data
and telecommunications solutions, today announced new contracts for
wireless E9-1-1 solutions with WestLink Communications LLC,
Nex-Tech Wireless, Edge Wireless, Chariton Valley Wireless, Cellcom
Inc. of Wisconsin, and Appalachian Wireless. Each of these carriers
has chosen to outsource its wireless E9-1-1 services to Intrado,
purchasing a combination of Phase I and Phase II E9-1-1 services
and in some instances, position determination entity (PDE)
services. Intrado Hosted E9-1-1 Services are made possible by a set
of telco-grade service capabilities that enable Intrado to deliver
a comprehensive E9-1-1 solution -- not just technology -- while
minimizing the use of the operator's internal resources. By doing
so wireless carriers can alleviate the need for large capital
expenditures, reduce technology obsolescence concerns, and
streamline deployments regardless of the carrier's size, air
interface or subscriber base. "We are gratified that these rural
carriers have selected Intrado's hosted technology to provide
life-saving emergency services and support for their wireless
customers," said Dan Hoskins, Intrado senior vice president of
sales and market development. "Tier 3 wireless carriers remain
confident in our hosted solutions and long history of providing
accurate, scalable and efficient systems to support their wireless
E9-1-1 deployments." About Intrado For over two decades,
telecommunications providers, public safety organizations and
government agencies have turned to Intrado for their communications
