Aspyra, Inc. (AMEX: APY) today announced plans to demonstrate the latest release of AccessNET, the Company’s PACS product at the upcoming RSNA 2009 Annual Meeting held at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL (November 29 – December 3, 2009), Booth 3021, South Building Hall A.

The latest release of Aspyra’s AccessNET PACS (Picture Archive Communication System), version 6.5.0 includes the IHE compliant hanging protocols and display capabilities for digital mammography studies (pending 510(k) clearance). Other enhancements in AccessNET PACS v6.5 target performance improvement for accessing and reading radiological images. This includes more intelligent compression for transferring images and dictation from remote locations and improvements in the navigation and functionality of commonly used imaging tools; management of hang protocols and window / level presets on a system level as well as user preference; the use of existing hang profiles for closely related display configurations if the specific configuration is not available; and the use on-board functionality of the Matrox Xenia card for much improved real-time image processing.

Bill Culton, Aspyra’s Diagnostic Solutions Product Manager, states, “By building one general workstation which can be used to read all study types, the need for dedicated reading workstations is eliminated.” He continued, “This reduces additional costs associated with multiple workstations that are often required to read different study types.”
