News: Senators File Bill To Federally Legalize Marijuana

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Senate Finance Committee Chairman Ron Wyden (D-OR) and Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) and a coalition of other Democratic senators have officially reintroduced a bill to federally legalize marijuana.

One day after the Justice Department announced that it is moving to reschedule cannabis in a historic policy shift, the senators held a press conference on Wednesday to unveil the Cannabis Administration and Opportunity Act (CAOA).

The senators’ move to file the broad legalization measure also comes as industry advocates continue to push to enact narrower legislation focused on cannabis business’s access to banking services.

Odds of cannabis banking bill have increased

With DOJ, and DEA, moving marijuana from Schedule 1 to Schedule 3 some members of Congress who may have been on fence will now be able to swing over and support cannabis banking bill.

This increases the odds, and what will send spikes in this sector is any news or passing comments from Senators on supporting such bill with new scheduling in place.

Keep eye on news wire for it will be comments from Senators that will trigger the next few spikes

Likely the profit takers from Tues pop are done at this level. The fundamental change in sentiment that caused this pop is still there (DEA reschedule), therefore I believe the correction is over and $TLRY is a buy here.

TLRY will move faster like CGC higher it goes

CGC low float is what made it move like that.

Also, it's like a space rocket lifting off from Earth. The first few thousand feet burns the most fuel to lift rocket, but then it gets easier the higher it goes. That is how lower price stocks work as more float gets eaten up, and TLRY will see large retail and then fund accumulation over next few days and weeks. That will start to see price move faster as we go up.

Plus 10% move up at $10 (1.00) is much larger than 10% move up at $2.00 (0.20)

Once this breaks above 2.50 strike price those option holders will need to panic cover and take out more of the float.
