Nationstar Mortgage Holdings Inc. (NYSE:NSM): The stock is trading at $37.00, up 11.35 percent higher than its previous close. It has traded in the range of $36.61 and $39.40 in the current trading session.

Nationstar Mortgage Holdings stock is up on the news of purchase of mortgage servicing rights from Bank of America. The company is expected to pay $1.3 billion for acquiring $215 billion worth of rights. It also claimed that it already has Fannie and Freddie approval for making the purchase. Bank of America is selling its mortgage rights in response to its settlement with Fannie Mae. Nationstar Mortgage Holdings commands market capitalization of $3.32 billion. It has traded 5.824 million shares so far, in comparison to its daily average trading volume of 1.522 million shares. The company stock trades at Price Earnings ratio of 23.24. The stock has traded in the range of $13.00 and $37.20 in the past 52 weeks.

SolarCity Corp. (NASDAQ:SCTY): The stock is up on new positive ratings. Goldman Sachs initiated its coverage for SolarCity with Buy rating. Similarly, Needham & Co. and Bank of America Lynch also started the coverage for the stock and rated it as Buy. The company stock is currently trading at $16.28, up 13.06 percent from its previous close of $14.40. The stock had opened at $15.70 and has traded in the range of $15.15 and $16.39 in the current trading session. SolarCity has also been rated Outperformer by Credit Suisse. The stock’s IPO price was set at $8 and it started trading on December 13 last year. The company designs, installs and markets solar energy systems. It is mainly operational in the United States. SolarCity was established in 2006 and it went public in 2012. The company is based out of San Mateo in California.

Vivus Inc. (NASDAQ:VVUS): The company provided details about its obesity drug Qsymia shipment. It shipped 12,978 units for the period ended on December 21, 2012. The numbers are 67 percent up than the previous four weeks period.  Its stock traded in the range of $14.82 and $15.54 in the current trading session and at this point is at $14.88, up 8.18 percent.  It is trading below its 20 days moving average price of $15.05. Vivus launched the drug in September and is now covered by various insurance providers including Aetna. The stock’s highest price point of 52 weeks stands at $31.21 while its lowest price point is at $9.86. Vivus stock is trading at beta of 1.18. The company’s market capitalization is at $1.50 billion. It is based out of Mountain View in California and was established in 1991.  The company develops therapies for various conditions including diabetes and sleep apnea.

Zillow Inc. (NASDAQ:Z): The stock is currently trading at $32.64, up 10.27 percent from its previous close. Zillow is a real estate information provider. The company provides mortgage information and listing details on its website. It also deals through mobile applications. It has traded in the range of $22.76 and $46.86 in the past 52 weeks. However, the stock is trading below its 20 days moving average price of $32.76 but above its 50 days moving average price of $32.53. The stock is trading at the Price Earnings ratio of 159.64. Zillow recently announced the appointment of Chris Crocker as Vice President of strategic Partnerships. The company was formed in 2004. It is based out of Seattle in Washington.

Optimer Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ:OPTR): The company provided updates about its DIFICID tablets. The medicine was launched in 2011 and is used for treating CDAD in adults. Optimer Pharmaceuticals reported the preliminary gross sales of DIFICID in 2012 at $74.4 million. The company markets the product in the United States and Canada. Its sale for the fourth quarter is expected to be $21.3 million. Optimer Pharmaceuticals stock traded in the range of $9.24 and $10.28 in the current trading session and at this point is at $10.21, up 10.38 percent.  It is trading above its 20 days moving average price of $10.15 and 50 days moving average price of $10.05. The stock’s highest price point of 52 weeks stands at $16.49 while its lowest price point is at $8.64.
