“We know parents want the best for their baby and so do
we,” said Diana Marshall, vice president of baby for Walmart U.S.
“From a car seat that alerts parents that their child may not be
properly fastened to organic baby food and natural skin care lines,
we’re working day in and day out to provide our customers with
items that make shopping for their growing families less stressful,
letting them focus on what matters most – their new baby.”
Evenflo SensorSafe™ Technology
Evenflo’s SensorSafe™ Technology communicates with the driver in
two unique ways. Upon arrival at the destination, SensorSafe™
Technology will remind the driver that a child is present in their
car seat. Additionally, SensorSafe™ Technology promotes proper
harness position by alerting the driver if a child has unbuckled
their chest clip during transit.
The Evenflo SensorSafe™ Titan® Convertible Car Seat will retail
exclusively at Walmart for $149.
“For several years, Walmart and Evenflo have been working
together to develop and expand the SensorSafe™ Technology product
line,” said Mark Robbins, senior vice president of business
development for Evenflo. “Developing top-of-the-line car seats that
give parents confidence and security while driving with their
little ones is a priority for both Evenflo and Walmart, so we’re
excited to now be able to offer SensorSafe™ Technology on car seats
for newborns, infants and toddlers as part of Walmart’s expanded
baby department.”
Making Shopping More Exciting, Less Stressful
As part of its emphasis on baby, Walmart continues to focus on
price and quality brands that give expecting parents and families
access to products they trust at the low prices they expect. This
year, the retailer has expanded its offering of known brands on its
shelves in store and online. New brands available include:
- Baby Jogger
- California Baby
- Diono
- Ideal Baby by Aden and Anais
Walmart’s focus on private brands is also evident in the baby
department. The retailer’s Parent’s Choice brand has grown to more
than 220 items this year with that number continuing to grow.
Parent’s Choice diapers and training pants have become a customer
favorite with new looks for baby featuring favorite characters from
DreamWorks.
New parents, with schedules now dictated by baby, might find
they are shopping at odd hours. Walmart can help. The retailer is
committed to providing an easy experience by removing the barriers
between shopping online and in store when it comes to finding
products for their little one:
- Online Grocery Pickup: Key baby
products are available via Walmart’s Online Grocery Pickup and
Pickup service. Run out of diapers? Customers can place an order
online and pick it up for free as soon as the same day at a Walmart
store. Walmart’s Online Grocery Pickup service is now available in
more than 600 markets in approximately 400 locations.
- Baby Registry: Parents-to-be can
now create and manage a baby registry with the Walmart mobile app.
Items can be added by selecting products on Walmart.com or scanning
a product’s barcode in a store. Registries will be updated
automatically when friends and family scan their receipts with the
Walmart mobile app after checkout.
- Shipping Pass: For just $49
year, ShippingPass gives customers unlimited two-day shipping. It
is about half the price of similar programs and customers who are
using it love it.
“As a mom of a toddler and a newborn myself, I can’t tell you
how much easier my weekly shopping trip has become with our online
grocery pickup service,” added Marshall.
