LONDON—Unilever PLC said in a brief statement it has settled its
dispute with Tesco PLC, after the two British corporate giants
clashed over pricing in the U.K.
Late Thursday, Unilever said "the supply situation with Tesco in
the U.K. and Ireland has now been successfully resolved." It gave
no details.
Late Wednesday, Tesco, Britain's largest grocer, pulled Unilever
products from its website, with people familiar with the matter
saying the consumer-goods giant was demanding a 10% increase for
its products. Earlier Thursday, Unilever confirmed it had asked all
its retailer customers for price increases, citing the falling
value of the pound.
In a separate statement late Thursday, Tesco confirmed the
resolution, without giving details.
