Dow Jones News
Procter & Gamble Co. (PG) is moving to downsize its staff
through an early-retirement program, the Cincinnati Enquirer
reported on its website Tuesday.
The Cincinnati-based consumer-products company sent a letter
detailing the voluntary offer to employees last week, the website
said.
P&G would not say what its job-cutting target is but did say
it expects the offer will garner "a modest number of voluntary
separations."
P&G is slated to report earnings on Thursday and may offer
more details at that time.
