MetLife Recognized as Military Friendly Employer for Fourth Year in a Row

MetLife, Inc. (NYSE: MET) today announced it has been recognized
as a Military Friendly® Employer by G.I. Jobs magazine. This is the
fourth year in a row MetLife has been recognized for its commitment
to hiring veterans and fostering a culture that honors the
experiences, traits and skills of those who have served or continue
to serve their country.
G.I. Jobs magazine compiles an annual list of Military Friendly
Employers to recognize companies with supportive policies,
including recruiting efforts, retention programs and support for
National Guard and Reserve service.
MetLife employee Ross Carkeet joined MetLife after 20 years of
service in the U.S. Army. “My experience as a leader in a
technological field benefits MetLife greatly in my daily
interactions with people,” said Ross, director of video services
engineering. “The skills and traits I developed in the military
helped my transition and I was able to be effective from the first
