Carlyle Group L.P. (CG) named Jeffrey C. Holland as the
private-equity firm's head of private client group, a newly created
position.
Mr. Holland, 42 years old, who was most recently chief operating
officer for Cole Real Estate Investments Inc., will oversee the
group responsible for developing Carlyle's relationships with
individual investors and intermediaries serving them.
The group led by Mr. Holland will focus on making connections
with bank feeder funds and other financial advisors through which
high-net-worth and other qualifying individuals can access
Carlyle's alternative asset products.
"This is a great opportunity to bring Carlyle's institutional
brand and record of excellence into the private client arena," Mr.
Holland said.
Last month, Carlyle named Michael Cavanagh, a high-ranking J.P.
Morgan Chase & Co. (JPM) executive who was seen as a
front-runner to succeed Chief Executive Jamie Dimon, as Carlyle's
co-chief operating officer along with current operations chief
Glenn A. Youngkin.
