UBS Group AG named a new head for its wealth-management group in
New York's Long Island region.
The firm said it hired John Houlihan from Barclays PLC's U.S.
wealth division to head the complex, which oversees five branches
across Long Island.
A Barclays spokesman didn't immediately comment on the
departure.
Previously, Mr. Houlihan was the regional manager for Barclays's
wealth business in Atlanta, where he had worked since 2012. Prior
to that, he spent nearly two decades at Morgan Stanley.
Mr. Houlihan leaves Barclays ahead of a deal that has the
London-based bank selling its U.S. wealth unit to Stifel Financial
Corp. The sale is expected to close in the fourth quarter.
