The global transportation solution provider is transitioning to a modern claims system to expedite interactions, improve efficiencies and enhance customer service

UniGroup, a provider of global relocation and specialized logistics solutions for residential and corporate customers, has selected Accenture Duck Creek software from Accenture (NYSE:ACN) to manage its core claims operations. The new software will enable its customers, agents and employees to submit, process and administer cargo loss claims from first notice of loss to resolution via an online system. Once implemented, the software will help UniGroup improve efficiencies and reduce claim-handling cycle time with streamlined and automated processes.

The company will utilize Accenture Duck Creek Claims to support claims functions within its businesses including residential carriers United Van Lines and Mayflower Transit, logistics company UniGroup Logistics and international relocation provider UniGroup Relocation.

“To continue to provide the superior service our customers expect and deserve, we need to transition to a modern and comprehensive claims system that can manage our diverse enterprise demands,” said UniGroup Chief Administrative Officer Jan Alonzo. “With Accenture Duck Creek Claims, we’ll be able to streamline processes that can positively impact both business results and most importantly the claims experience of our customers located around the globe.”

“UniGroup has long been known for their commitment to quality service. We're thrilled that UniGroup has selected our software to manage the company’s claims operations and look forward to working with them to deliver a solution that will support their high service standards now and in the future,” said Michael A. Jackowski, global managing director, Accenture Duck Creek.

Accenture Duck Creek Claims is included in the suite that also incorporates billing, policy and rating software. The configurable software is designed to work independently or as a combined approach to manage all aspects of the property & casualty (P&C) insurance lifecycle. The software can be deployed through an on-premise implementation or via Duck Creek On-Demand, a Software as a Service model.
