EBAY TO SPIN OFF PAYPAL BUSINESS
EBay said it plans to spin off its PayPal business into a
separate publicly traded company next year, a victory for activist
investor Carl Icahn, who had pushed for the company to split.
NEWS CORP TO BUY MOVE INC. FOR $950 MILLION
News Corp said it agreed to buy online real-estate listings
business Move Inc. in an all-cash deal valued at about $950
million, expanding the media company's presence in the U.S.
real-estate market.
WALGREEN SWINGS TO LOSS ON ALLIANCE BOOTS CALL OPTION
Walgreen said its fiscal 4Q revenue rose 6.2% on increased
front-end and prescription sales, but swung to a loss of $239
