today announced it has hired Robert J.
DeSalvio to assist with the company's development
activities. An experienced resort developer and operator, Mr.
DeSalvio will primarily focus on the company's proposed resort in
Everett, Massachusetts. The company plans to build a
$1.6 billion resort, featuring a
five-star hotel and spa, luxury shopping and dining esplanade,
winter garden and casino.
Mr. DeSalvio has held executive positions in sales, marketing,
resort operations and strategic planning. He served as an
Executive Vice President for both Sands Atlantic City and Foxwoods
Resort Casino. Most recently, Mr. DeSalvio was President of
Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He led the
development, construction, government relations and staffing of the
resort before opening. Since opening in 2009, Mr. DeSalvio
has led the resort to significant revenue growth.
