Details
AudioCodes (NASDAQ: AUDC), a leading provider of converged voice
solutions that enable enterprises and service providers to
transition to all-IP voice networks, today announced support for
the newly released Skype for Business Cloud Connector Edition from
Microsoft.
Skype for Business Cloud Connector Edition is a new software
solution that includes the required tools to connect its Skype for
Business Cloud PBX to local PSTN and SIP trunk networks and
services. AudioCodes session border controllers (SBCs) and gateways
provide the required on-premises connectivity infrastructure for
Cloud Connector Edition with additional value-added services.
In addition to enabling integration with heterogeneous systems
and legacy PBX, which are critical for a smooth migration to the
cloud, AudioCodes' Microsoft-certified SBCs offer enterprise grade
security and reliability. Additionally, AudioCodes' SBCs can add
value by delivering enhanced features such as more advanced dial
plan settings, high availability on incoming calls, support for
analog devices and support for call recording from the PSTN side.
The combined solution of Skype for Business Cloud Connector
Edition with AudioCodes' infrastructure ensures a smooth migration
for enterprise customers who want to move their users to the latest
cloud unified communications platform from Microsoft Office 365,
while preserving on-premises connectivity with their local service
providers.
For customers wishing to leverage the Skype for Business server
functionality and start a gradual user migration to the cloud,
AudioCodes provides a hybrid appliance solution, CloudBond 365,
designed to accelerate the implementation of Skype for Business UC
and voice services by allowing advanced PBX users to be registered
with the local Skype for Business server in the appliance, while
all other users can be serviced from Microsoft's Cloud PBX. The
CloudBond 365 appliance family offers extensive flexibility and
versatility, enabling enterprises to pace their cloud migration and
legacy PBX retirements as they see fit.
"AudioCodes has been following the evolution of Microsoft
Unified Communications and supporting customer migration projects
for many years," commented Nimrode Borovsky, Vice President of
Marketing at AudioCodes. "After the release of our advanced
CloudBond 365 appliance that enables Skype for Business hybrid
scenarios within Cloud PBX environments, we are pleased to announce
our support for the newly released Cloud Connector Edition from
Microsoft, giving customers more choice as they look to select the
best migration path to fit their needs."
"The release of Skype for Business Cloud Connector Edition is a
major milestone in our journey to transition our customers to Cloud
PBX in Office 365. We are very pleased to see the continued
innovation and support from AudioCodes in close collaboration with
Microsoft," commented Giovanni
Mezgec, General Manager, Office 365 Partner Marketing at
Microsoft. "There is strong market demand for Cloud PBX with
