ABERDEEN ASIAN INCOME FUND LIMITED (the "Company")
New Term Loan Facility

The Company announces that it has entered into a new three-year
GBP10,000,000 term facility (the "Facility") with Scotiabank Europe
PLC ("Scotia"). The Facility is in addition to the existing
GBP30,000,000 multicurrency revolving facility with Scotiabank
(Ireland) Limited which is due to mature in April 2017.
GBP10,000,000 has been drawn down under the Facility and fixed
for three years at an all-in rate of 2.2175%. The Company's total
gearing currently amounts to the equivalent of GBP39.4 million or
9.96% of the net assets.
