                                Placing for cash


The Directors of Addworth plc are pleased to announce that the Company has
raised #90,000 of new capital through a placing of 4,000,000 new ordinary shares
for cash at a price of 2.25p per share. The funds raised will be used for
general working capital purposes. Application will be made for the new ordinary
shares to be admitted to trading on AIM.

There are now 120,666,666 shares in issue.
