Arizona Lithium drills first 2024 well, intended for commercial production

Arizona Lithium began its 2024 drilling campaign of its Prairie Lithium Project. The first well was spud near Torquay, Saskatchewan, Canada, in May.. This well is initially being drilled as an exploratory well into the Souris River Formation. It will later be converted into the company's first planned Duperow Formation commercial lithium production well.
A second well is planned for the same site, Pad #1, before moving onto Pad #2 a few kilometres away

Arizona Lithium strengthens balance sheet after raising $16.5m, spurring field work at Prairie
Special Report: Arizona Lithium has raised $16.5m via a placement to institutional and sophisticated investors at a 30% premium to its closing price on 13 December.

Arizona Lithium (ASX:AZL) will use the funds to fast-track 2024 drilling at its Prairie lithium project in Canada.

The placement – completed at 5.1 cents per share – was undertaken through a Flow Through Financing Placement with proceeds applied to qualified Canadian Exploration Expenses (CEE) to institutional and sophisticated investors.

Proceeds allow AZL to continue work on Prairie, specifically with exploration in the Dawson Bay and Souris River Formations.

Following this, the company will use its existing funds to complete the wells in preparation to move into production in the first half of 2025.

All activities will be outlined in the PFS which is expected to be released by the end of 2023.

Special Report: Arizona Lithium’s pilot plant has produced more than 6,000L at a steady extraction state of 95.6% lithium recovery rate and shown it can remove 99.9% of impurities from the brines at its Prairie project in Saskatchewan, Canada.

There are only a handful of lithium producers across North America, including Sayona Mining (ASX:SYA) and Piedmont Lithium’s hard rock NAL project in Quebec and Albemarle’s Silver Peak brine operations in the US.

On top of its 5.7Mt Prairie brine resource and pilot plant, Arizona Lithium (ASX:AZL) is also progressing its Big Sandy lithium project in Arizona where it also stations its Lithium Research Centre for testing of brine recoveries.

Arizona Lithium accelerates lithium extraction with arrival of pilot plant in Canada

In addition to the pilot plant testing, AZL continues to refine its proprietary DLE technology at the LRC, with the aim of improving efficiency and sustainability in lithium extraction.

Paul Lloyd, the managing director of Arizona Lithium, conveyed his enthusiasm by stating that they are highly thrilled about the arrival of the pilot plant at their Saskatchewan facility and even more eager to initiate its commissioning and operational phases.

“We are very excited to have the pilot plant arrive at our facility in Saskatchewan, and even more excited to get it commissioned and into operation. I look forward to being able to share the exciting results with our shareholders,” Lloyd stated.

NTEC partners on lithium mining project near Wikieup for 2023

WIKIEUP — Arizona Lithium Limited and Navajo Transitional Energy Company last week announced a partnership to support development of the Big Sandy Lithium Project off U.S. Route 93 near Wikieup.

The project includes 331 Bureau of Land Management Claims on 9.6 square miles of land. According to a news release from the companies, the lithium is “easily accessible for extraction.” Lithium is a key mineral for the transition to clean area as a key component in batteries that power electric cars.

The Permit of Exploration (POE) that includes a proposed 145 exploration holes and a bulk sample at the Company’s Big Sandy Lithium project in Arizona is awaiting Bureau of Land Management (BLM) approval. Community involvement is welcomed to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes for all stakeholders and the Company is very confident that drilling program can be completed without environmental impact and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.The validity of the proposed exploration target will be tested in the next drilling program. The Company is awaiting drilling approval from the BLM as detailed above.

EMERALD PARK, Saskatchewan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Prairie Lithium Corporation ("Prairie Lithium" or the "Company"), a private lithium resource and technology developer situated in the heart of the resource-rich Williston Basin in Saskatchewan, Canada, is pleased to announce that it has entered into a definitive pre-acquisition agreement (the "Acquisition Agreement") with Arizona Lithium Limited (the "Purchaser") (ASX: AZL, AZLO, OTC: AZLAF), a company focused on the sustainable development of the Big Sandy Lithium Project in Arizona, pursuant to which AZL has agreed to acquire, directly or indirectly through a subsidiary, all of the issued and outstanding common shares of Prairie Lithium ("Prairie Lithium Shares") for total consideration of approximately C$70.6 million, consisting of C$40.0 million in cash and 500.0 million common shares of AZL at a deemed price of C$0.0612 per share based on the 10-day VWAP of AZL’s shares (the "Transaction").

The Transaction is expected to close on or about February 28, 2023, subject to various closing conditions, including required securityholder and regulatory approvals. The Acquisition Agreement contains customary representations and warranties of each party and interim operational covenants by Prairie Lithium.
