A lot of people invested in NFTs when they were at their peak. Then a lot of people were got burned when they crashed. “Reheat Your NFT” from McCann TLV and McCann Worldgroup Romania aims to relief NFT buyers’ regret by consoling them with free Domino’s pizza. All they have to do is dig in their crypto wallets, burn their NFTs and upload the proof to Domino’s dedicated platform to receive a free pizza. If they think their NFTs are worth more, they can negotiate with the brand on social media for even more pizza.

While NFTs once grabbed headlines, they’re now a punchline. After the first NFT, “Quantum,” was minted in 2014, non-fungible tokens saw a meteoric rise in popularity, boosted by the Ethereum blockchain and the passionate support of digital artists. In 2021, Beeple’s “Everydays—The First 5000 Days” sold for $69 million at Christie’s, trading volumes of NFTs reached $13 billion and Collins Dictionary dubbed “NFT” as “the word of the year.”

The pandemic, global economic struggles, a few cryptocurrency project failures and the speculative nature of NFTs all eventually contributed to their downfall and some, including celebrities like Justin Bieber, Logan Paul and soccer pro Neymar lost https://www.binance.com/en/square/post/144152 hundreds of thousands, even millions from their investments.

“Our purpose in Domino’s is to make everyone happy” said Ifat Springer. Marketing VP Dominos TLV.  “We believe that pizza is the solution to any moment like a bad day, lack of success or stress. Whether it’s just because you had a tough day at work or you invested in an NFT bubble that burst in your face”

“As a strong brand that everyone loves, we always look for funny and interesting ways to approach different and specific audiences” said Sigal Abudy CCO of McCann TLV “here were approaching the young and savvy audience (that 2 years ago bought NFT’s) that Dominos is not in their top of mind – were touching a pain point in order to be the brand that understand, support and makes them happy”

“While people may be bored of apes, they will never get tired of pizza,” said Catalin Dobre, CCO of McCann Bucharest. “We wanted to have a lighthearted take on the rise and fall of NFTs and engage regretful investors in an entertaining way.”

“When NFTs appeared, we thought we were entering a new digital era, so when they didn’t deliver, we thought Dominos could,” added Ioana Zamfir, ECD of MRM Romania. “We decided to save NFTs from total worthlessness. This will hopefully bring some joy to the whole situation, while also bringing new life to NFT fails.”
