TRC was recognized for working with the Massachusetts Executive
Office of Labor and Workforce Development to prepare for climate
change.
WINDSOR,
Conn., March 28, 2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ --
TRC Companies, Inc. (TRC), a global professional services
firm providing integrated strategy, consulting, engineering and
applied technologies in support of the energy transition, received
an award from Climate Change Business Journal ® (CCBJ) for
Advancing Best Practice in the area of Climate Change Adaptation
and Resilience.
"In a world that requires continual
adaptation, we remain focused on helping our clients navigate and
succeed in the energy transition so they can continue to provide
critical services for their constituents," said Christopher Vincze, Chairman and CEO of
TRC.
TRC won the Advancing Best Practices award for evaluating
operational risks related to climate change and developing climate
adaptation strategies for The Massachusetts Executive Office
of Labor and Workforce Development (LWD). With eight departments
under LWD operating across 35 statewide facilities, LWD needed
assistance evaluating climate-related physical and operational
risks, and developing strategies to ensure continuity of services.
The project aimed to ensure continuation of LWD's services
throughout the increased likelihood of severe weather due to
climate change. TRC developed groundbreaking methodologies to
assess potential risks across all departments and streamlined the
engagement process to critical milestones and interviews.
At the completion of the project, TRC produced a Climate
Adaptation Strategy Roadmap and Implementation Tracker—a living
document that prioritizes adaptation strategies based on LWD's most
immediate and consequential climate-related risks. Successful
implementation of the roadmap will result in continuity of LWD's
business operations, ensuring critical labor and workforce services
are provided to citizens across the Commonwealth.
"We are honored to be recognized by CCBJ for our work in helping
LWD adapt to changing climates," said Christopher Vincze, Chairman and CEO of TRC. "In
a world that requires continual adaptation, we remain focused on
helping our clients navigate and succeed in the energy transition
so they can continue to provide critical services for their
constituents."
