Each Exelon utility – BGE, ComEd and PECO honor
efforts of company workers
March 31 marks National Lineman Appreciation Day, established in
2013 to honor the men and women who work day-in and day-out to
provide safe and reliable service to customers. Today, PECO salutes
its 923 utility workers, who operate and maintain natural gas and
electric systems and respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, seven
days a week, often in challenging conditions, and on weekends and
holidays, to serve our customers.
To honor the nation’s line workers, a resolution was introduced
in the U.S. House of Representatives designating March 31, 2015, as
National Lineman Appreciation Day.
“Our field employees epitomize our culture, built on a
foundation of safety and service excellence,” said Mike Innocenzo,
senior vice president and chief operating officer. “We thank them
for their tireless efforts and steadfast commitment to providing
reliable service to our customers, while achieving our best-ever
safety performance last year.”
PECO salutes all of our utility workers – both on the lines and
in the field. Join utilities nationwide in saying thank you by
using the hashtag #thankalineman on social media. Connect with PECO
