PORTLAND, Ore., Nov. 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Rentrak
(NASDAQ: RENT), the leader in precisely measuring movies and
TV everywhere, today announced the top weekly cross-platform
entertainment rankings for Nov. 18,
2015.
An amazing continued run for Sony's "Spectre" at the global box
office is realized with $188 million
in 92 territories, including North
America, where the 24th Bond movie was number one for
the second consecutive weekend, adding another $33.7 million. An astounding $48 million in China this weekend gives this Bond the biggest
opening weekend (F-S-S) of all time for a 2D U.S. movie in this
all-important marketplace.
Disney's release of Pixar's critically acclaimed "Inside Out"
certainly got inside the minds of small screen viewers as it
debuted on both Rentrak's Movies on Demand and DVD
and Blu-Ray Disc sales charts in the number one
spot. Dwayne Johnson in "San Andreas" led DVD and Blu-Ray
rentals, while Adam Sandler in
"Pixels," the nostalgic walk down video game memory lane, dominated
our digital purchases and rentals chart.
CBS's long-time favorite, the original "NCIS," had the most
engaged viewers this week in broadcast, while AMC's "The Walking
Dead" remains a big hit on cable, but was followed closely this
week by "The Republican Presidential Debate" on CNBC. Wrapping
up this week's highlights, NBC's "The Voice" uploaded a Digital
Exclusive on YouTube of "Rihanna on The Voice" which garnered
457k+ views.
