Following the release of Canada's merchandise trade balance and the new housing price index-both for February at 8:30 am ET, the Canadian dollar edged lower against its major opponents. As of 8:34 am ET, the loonie was trading at 1.3162 against the euro, 0.9997 versus the greenback and 81.02 against the yen.
