A Financial Industry Regulatory Authority arbitration panel
ordered UBS AG's (UBS) UBS Financial Services Inc. unit to pay $5.4
million to a former broker in a conflict related to the sale of
Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. structured notes, Reuters reported
Monday.
The broker had alleged that UBS misled its brokers about
Lehman's financial health, Reuters reported.
"UBS is disappointed with the panel's decision, and believes it
to be legally and factually incorrect," and the firm will evaluate
its options, a UBS spokesman told Reuters.
