SEOUL -(Dow Jones)- South Korea's two largest mobile carriers by revenue, SK Telecom Co. (SKM, 017670.SE) and KT Corp. (KT, 030200.SE), said Wednesday they will officially launch the latest version of Apple Inc.'s (AAPL) iPhone 4S model in the Asian country on Nov. 11. They will begin taking pre-orders Friday. The separate statements by the country's two biggest mobile operators came after Apple said Tuesday that it will release the latest model on Nov. 11 in Hong Kong, South Korea and 13 other countries: Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, El Salvador, Greece, Guatemala, Malta, Montenegro, New Zealand, Panama, Poland, Portugal and Romania. The initial launch of the iPhone 4S, the latest model of the company's smartphone, was Apple's best yet. It sold four million of the devices in the first three days of sales last month, the most of any iPhone rollout so far. -By Jung-Ah Lee, Dow Jones Newswires; 822-3700-1907; jung-ah.lee@dowjones.com
