$1 Million to the United Way of Greater Houston Contributed by Service Corporation International

In the largest donation in the company’s history, Service
Corporation International (SCI) and its associates are donating
$1,093,961 to the United Way of Greater Houston as the 2014 giving
campaign comes to a close.
“We are proud that our associates have taken on the challenge to
do more for our Houston neighbors through giving to the United Way
of Greater Houston,” said Tom Ryan, President and CEO of Service
Corporation International. “Our company and our Associates
understand the impact their donations make, and we look forward to
continuing this tradition for years to come.”
Since 1988, SCI and its Houston Associates have helped support
families and individuals throughout the Greater Houston area by
raising and donating more than $7.4 million to the United Way. The
funds that have been raised help the United Way of Greater Houston
fulfill their mission of improving lives and building a stronger
community.
