- Mercer to sponsor the annual
conference in Denver, July 14-17
Mercer today announced that the Biennial of the Americas will
feature the firm’s When Women Thrive research in a panel discussion
with Pat Milligan on July 15. Ms. Milligan is the chief architect
of the firm’s groundbreaking When Women Thrive research, which
looks at the impact of organizational practices on the advancement
of women in the workplace. The study found that women are not
progressing in their careers despite decades of organizational
efforts to achieve gender diversity and equality.
Ms. Milligan’s panel discussion will take place at the Women’s
Leadership Luncheon at the Seawell Grand Ballroom on July 15 at
12:15 pm Mountain Time. Attendees will learn more about the
pioneering research study and its implications. Alicia Menendez,
Anchor of “Come Here and Say That,” will moderate the discussion,
and Danielle Saint-Lot, Ambassador at Large for the Republic of
Haiti and Founder of the Danielle Saint-Lot Haiti Women’s
Foundation, will also participate.
“True gender parity is still decades away, if our approaches
remain unchanged,” said Ms. Milligan. “The research is clear: we
need to think and act differently if we want to realize the full
potential of women’s unique contributions – and the time is
now.”
Mercer returns as a sponsor of the Biennial of the Americas. The
symposium will bring together prominent leaders from across
business, education, technology, entrepreneurship, energy, trade,
public health, natural resources and politics to discuss and
collaborate on issues affecting the Americas now and in the near
future. This year’s theme NOW! aligns with Mercer’s own passion and
commitment to making a difference in the health, wealth and careers
of 110 million people every day.
