Moody’s Corporation announced today that Steve Maire has been promoted to Vice President-Treasurer of the Corporation. Mr. Maire will oversee capital allocations, short-term investments and long-term financing strategies to support Moody’s operations and global growth, as well as management of financial risks.

"Steve’s financial skills and knowledge of the capital markets will help guide our financing strategy to support our growing businesses,” said Linda S. Huber, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Moody's Corporation.

Mr. Maire joined Moody's in 2013 as Vice President, Assistant Treasurer, and oversaw Moody’s recent bond offerings, as well as other capital markets and financing activities.

Prior to joining Moody's, Mr. Maire held positions at Morgan Stanley and Barclays Capital, and spent five years in the U.S. Army, achieving the rank of captain. He holds an MBA from Cornell University, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point with a B.S. in Engineering and is a CFA charterholder.
