April 30, to commemorate Financial
Literacy Month, Glendale Mayor
Jerry Weiers, State Legislators
Kimberly Yee and Anthony Kern,
Arizona State Treasurer Jeff DeWit,
Comerica Bank executives and educators from Glendale schools will honor over 150 graduates
from the Comerica Bank Money $ense Program, a
financial education course designed to empower young people with
the essential skills needed to make sound financial decisions. The
program, which is powered by leading education technology company
EverFi, Inc., launched this school year at 19 Arizona primary
schools at no cost to taxpayers or school districts, due to the
sponsorship by Comerica Bank.
Students at Horizon Elementary School will be recognized for
completing the financial literacy program. The events will also
include remarks from Glendale
Mayor Jerry Weiers, State Senator
Kimberly Yee, representatives from
Comerica Bank, school principal Cheri Dawn
Emerson, and students who completed the Comerica Bank
Money $ense Program at the school.
