Laurence Fink, chairman and chief executive officer of BlackRock
Inc., earned a pay package of $23.9 million in 2014, an increase of
about 4% from the previous year, according to a regulatory filing
Friday.
Mr. Fink, 62, head of the world's largest asset manager, earned
a $9.1 million bonus and saw his pay increase from $22.9 million in
2013. According to BlackRock's salary calculations, which vary
slightly from those required to be reported by the Securities and
Exchange Commission, Mr. Fink earned $26 million last year, up 8%
from the previous year.
A BlackRock spokesman declined to comment.
New York-based BlackRock saw its profit increase 8.7% in its
first-quarter earnings reported Thursday, but its revenue was
impacted by the loss of fees from foreign-exchange conversions.
