Energy Capital Holdings, Inc., a subsidiary of NextEra Energy, Inc.
(NYSE: NEE), today announced that it will redeem on Oct. 22, 2017, ("redemption date") all of its
outstanding (i) Series G Junior Subordinated Debentures due
March 1, 2072, (NYSE: NEE.PRG)
(CUSIP: 65339K605) ("Series G debentures") and (ii) Series H Junior
Subordinated Debentures due June 15,
2072, (NYSE: NEE.PRH) (CUSIP: 65339K704) ("Series H
debentures"), in each case at a redemption price ("redemption
price") of 100 percent of the principal amount thereof plus accrued
and unpaid interest to but excluding the redemption date.
The redemption price for each Series G debenture will be equal
to $25 (the principal amount of each
Series G debenture) plus accrued and unpaid interest from
Sept. 1, 2017, to but excluding
Oct. 22, 2017, in the amount per
Series G debenture of $0.201875. The total principal amount of
the Series G debentures is $400
million.
The redemption price for each Series H debenture will be equal
to $25 (the principal amount of each
Series H debenture) plus accrued and unpaid interest from
Sept. 15, 2017, to but excluding
Oct. 22, 2017, in the amount per
Series H debenture of $0.14453125. The total principal amount of
the Series H debentures is $350
million.
On the redemption date, provided that the trustee has received
sufficient funds to complete the redemption, the Series G
debentures and the Series H debentures will become due and payable
and interest will cease to accrue. Payment of the redemption price
shall be made on or after the redemption date, upon presentation
and surrender of the respective debentures to the trustee at the
