SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- NanoTech
Entertainment (OTCPINK: NTEK), a pioneer in bringing the 4K
experience to consumers, announced today that Film Editor Harmy has
joined the 4K Studios team. Harmy, creator of the internet
sensation, "Star Wars Despecialized Edition," has a global
following of film restoration and re-mastering work.
Alex "LX" Rudis, head of 4K Studios noted, "As someone who grew
up part of the 'Star Wars' generation, I'm very excited to have
Harmy joining the 4K Studios team. His 'Despecialized Edition
Star Wars' has a remarkable aesthetic sense and fantastic attention
to detail. When I first viewed his work on 'Star Wars,' I was
emotionally transported back to the very first time I saw the
film. I feel that Harmys' attention to subtle aspects of
color grading and shadow detail will provide similar depths of
emotional impact to the 4K restoration and master work that we
provide for UltraFlix™. He's a great addition to our team and
I'm very much looking forward to working with him."
Harmy is joining the 4K Studios team as they prepare to launch
the new "re-mastered by 4K Studios" effort, where films that have
been previously released in 4K will be re-mastered using
second-generation tools and techniques that differentiate them from
other offerings of the same film. Harmy stated "I've always
been a big proponent of presenting movies in the best possible
quality while maintaining their original artistic integrity.
I am very excited to be joining the 4K Studios as part of the
UltraFlix team. I'm really proud to be working on film restoration
as a part of the team of people who the leaders in bringing the
true cinematic experience to our living rooms using cutting-edge 4K
streaming technology."
Rudis continued, "While you might find some of the same films
that we offer on UltraFlix on other 4K services, the experience
will be far superior on UltraFlix. Most providers just
deliver to the consumer whatever they receive without putting any
effort into ensuring the film has been treated with the best
effort, providing the true cinematic experience"
Starting in February, UltraFlix viewers will start to see the
"Re-Mastered by 4K Studios" Logo appearing on films that are
updated through this program.
