September 28th, Bjarne Stroustrup, an internationally renowned
technologist and creator of the C++ computer language, will be
featured at a free conference in Montreal. Presented jointly with Morgan
Stanley, the event is part of a series of major conferences marking
the tenth anniversary of TechnoMontréal, Greater Montreal's information and
communication technologies cluster.
The captivating speaker will discuss upcoming functionalities
designed to simplify C++ programming and improve its performance.
He will discuss how to effectively use the new features in new code
and in existing codebases.
Dr. Stroustrup has authored multiple texts on the topic, notably
C++ Programming Language and A Tour of C++, Programming: Principles
and Practice using C++, as well as countless popular articles and
academic papers. At present, he is a Managing Director in Morgan
Stanley's Technology Division in New
York, as well as a guest lecturer at Columbia University. His research has focused on
distributed systems, design, programming techniques, software
development tools and programming languages.
