FRANKLIN, Tenn., May 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The following
statement was issued on April 17,
2015:
In an Order entered today in the Chancery Court for Williamson County, Tennessee, a lawsuit filed
against Larry Beckwith by his former
wife, Jamie Beckwith, was dismissed
with prejudice.
The Beckwiths were divorced in 2011 and had divided their
marital property by agreement. Years after the divorce was
final, Ms. Beckwith filed a civil lawsuit claiming that Mr.
Beckwith had failed to provide accurate information regarding a
marital asset. Included in the lawsuit were allegations of
fraud and securities violations, all of which Mr. Beckwith strongly
denied.
Following investigation, discovery, and document production,
Jamie Beckwith retracted and
withdrew all claims, including those for fraud and violations of
the Tennessee Securities Act. She filed a Verified Amended
Complaint affirmatively removing all allegations and sought a
declaratory judgment based on factual
disagreement/misunderstanding. The Order of Dismissal
dismissed all claims on the merits.
Both Jamie Beckwith and
Larry Beckwith are pleased that they
were able to resolve their differences.
Pursuant to the terms of the Order of Dismissal, the Parties are
responsible for an equal share of the court costs and their own
attorneys' fees and discretionary costs.
